And that's what I did. With the mindset of getting the most "bang-for-buck-for-as-many-years-as-I-can", and most importantly, my workflow setup, I don't think I have ever maxed out my ram. However, when I go to mixing, I bring that i9 to it's knees sometimes. There is no way I could go with and i5. I would just be back to freezing tracks and that's what I didn't want to do. As for my storage I got a 4tb WD external storage unit for cheap around BF a few years ago. Then a few months later, after the New Year started I got a 12gb WD external unit for only $30 more than I paid for the 4tb, so I jumped on it. That's 16tb of my total right there. Throw in a few 3tb Seagate HD I already had... it just kinda happened. So my whole plan to get the mbfmb has come to life. I couldn't be more happy.

No Problem!! My ram serves me well. And I really am a tightwad!! I ain't spending that kinda money on memory. : ) I would buy a Graphic card first!! And I ain't paying those inflated prices for those right now!! : ) (though those prices are starting to come down)

I don't use sample libraries that are huge. I didn't when I built it. : ) Now that I have Kontakt, that may change, but I really doubt it. I don't do anything other than music on that computer. 32gb is working well for me. To be quite honest, I consulted with Jim at Studio Cats. He listened to what I do, what I wanted, and my workflow with the programs I use and recommended 32gb.

I got my serial # around noon today. Not bad on delivery time. Thanks Unc!! Will give it more time in a few days. Right now I am still just looking it over and trying to get familiar with it. For those that know how those tab subscriptions works, would this idea be workable: I was thinking, it might be worth it to subscribe to UG (or the other service) for a little while and grab some good versions of songs I want, export them as midi files, then cancel till I want or need more. Workable? Pitfalls?

This is exactly what I was thinking just browsing through the features.

I like Waves plugins. They have excellent sounding stuff. Price is some of the best in the industry for the quality of the plugins. I do not like the one license bs. That's just uncalled for in this environment. WUP is a take it or leave it deal for me. As others have pointed out, get it for free and use it as much as you want.

I d/l the program. Installed the trail (7day). Seems like this is much more than I was thinking it would be. I was imagining a program to play tab files and do some minor creation of songs in tabs. But upon looking at the features I am impressed. Probably should have picked this up long time ago. Looks to be worth the regular asking price. If you play guitar, at $29... no brainer IMHO.

Alright, I bit the bullet on this one. Will see how long it takes to get a Ser #.

I have IK Mic Room (I think that's the name) and haven't really tried it out yet. Mostly there is no profile of my mic. Unless they added lately. So I was looking at that Gauge mic and pair it with their mic sim software for that mic.

There is a 7 day trial of the plugin.

I wonder what thier ECM87 sounds like? Not bad looking company. May try this.

Neither am I. I understand your point.

What did they do? I must have missed something. (TOTP!)

Yep. Now let me come clean and say that the plugins I got from PA are really great stuff. Just because I ain't buying from them doesn't mean they have bad stuff. Far from it. They just ain't serving anything I want. That's what has changed.

I am thinking it's a piezo mic? I did enjoy that video. The music was good too!!

I have Komplete 14 Select and it would cost me $200 to upgrade to 14. Might wait for that summer sale. Or maybe a winter sale? Or even a unbelievable BF sale?!!

She will be missed. Class act that Lady was. RIP my dear.

IIRC, I think some found a fix for this. You can try posting in the Deals forum and see if one of them picks up on it.

So it's a laminated top. Or just veneer? Either way it's really nice looking. The black hardware helps it stand out. Gives it that clean look to me.

I got three basses and I am not a bass player!!

What kind of body? What kind of pups? Maple neck? Body sure looks good. Nice and clean. I like those inlays on the next too

Should it go into Lame Music Cartoons or the Puns folder?
