  1. You need an iLok account.
  2. Yeah, me too!! There was not much I wanted at the prices before these "good vouchers " came around. Now I done spent a fair amount in this week!! Well ya'll talked me into it... I got the Ampeg -15N and Bass Mint for $20, ten bucks each. Sweet
  3. That's a real good one right there. Never hear anything about it at all. It's a sleeper.
  4. Here I was talking shzz about PA having nothing I wanted and now I done bought something from them twice in the last three days!! Been looking at that Amek console strip. Got that for $15 the other day. I love Lindell plugins, so I was able to grab that API 50 Series for $15 today!!! Damn... they pretty good with the marketing at the moment!!!
  5. Me too. Since PA 7. I just know it so good. I have the latest version of S1 and Reaper, a d will upgrade both. But I just really dabble with them when I really want to do something, it's always CwbB
  6. Yes it is and I picked it up. I wonder if I can use it more than once? Might pick up some Ampeg amps I see it's a one use per user. Drats!!
  7. I married one too!! Ain't we lucky!! LOL!!! She has a baby grand in the former Formal Dinning Room. And a 64 key yammy portable in my studio (formerly a bed room). Her old upright is at her sister's house. We just didn't have to room. And that's not mentioning her guitars!! All acoustics.
  8. Mine let me have a Taylor 12 string!!! It's nice! Sounds beautiful!!
  9. You been around that long and don't know what GAS means? I think somebody pulling our leg here!! : )
  10. Let me know how that works for ya!! LOL!!!
  11. Yes the pace has slowed down, a little. I am kinda of glad they are not interested in introducing new features just for the sake of adding new features (that would attract different/new customers). Get and keep the core program going strong. You never know. Maybe they did, but I doubt it. They guys that stuck with CW have been around a while. If they wanted to go somewhere else, they had that opportunity when Gibson bailed. But they came along with Bandlab (Noel & Morten). I think this is probably the best answer right here. CW for many years was the leader in DAW development. They were the first and only DAW to embrace and implement true 64bit. They had audio stretching long ago with Radius. They had the Pro Channel. They had Take Lanes and Comping long before others did. Some of the features that CW had for years are just now being introduced into the industry standard DAW!! I just can't see the DAW going anywhere from here except to become more stable and bug free. Almost all DAW's do everything as it is!! That! ^^^^^ I loaded up Z3ta the other day and got lost in the presets!! That thing still sounds great.

Not since the other day. The song that I used to learn GP is in the last stages of mixing and I am trying to get that done. And as always, nothing ever goes as smooth as you plan. A few adjustments turned into recreating the project and.... well I am still going to work with GP in the next day or two. I am curious to see how I will like adding drums and bass into the mix. Going see the re-release of Avatar tonight!! Never seen it on the big screen. But I will tonight... if it goes as planned!!

You will see, it will be worth it. Like I said before, it's worth the regular asking price. Thanks to you I got it at a no-brainer deal!! [edit] TOTP!!!
  14. I like your themes Matthew. Been using them for a while now. Mostly the M-Spec theme. Just d/l the latest updates and was looking through a few of them and really might go with the Blue Flare now. That's a really nice addition to the bunch you got there. I am not much on the lighter themes but that Titanium theme you have just looks so clean!! All your themes have that clean look. Thanks again for all you do to keep these themes up for us users. [edit] Forgot to add that I really like how you have the colors in the trks change to suit the theme. IOW, all my trk colors that I have set in my templates, look like they fit whatever M-theme I am using. That's a real nice touch.

I was doing a little test to see what my idle ram use was. After leaving the computer sit with nothing running (IOW, no programs opened) ram usage was around 7gb according to Task Manager. So I started up Cakewalk and loaded a song I am working on that's in the mixing stage. Ram use was around 11gb. Now the processor use went up as I have lots of plugins and some synths. But nothing with huge libs.
  17. Now, does this mean after I update to the new version, and the first time load the plugin it will sync with my Cakewalk KB SC? Or do I need to uninstall, and reinstall to get this new feature?

That's still to be worked out. But I do see myself sitting there, (maybe even using the mobile app) to get an idea down fast. And as I do this the first few times I will fall into some kind of method to the madness! That's my hope anyway. Still learning the UI. Working on the strumming of that song I was using. That's a little more difficult to do because of my playing style and my lack of knowledge at the moment. But as I said earlier, with this program it makes things much more simple than I have imagined it would be. The problem now is me getting enough time to get over this gentle learning curve.

@daveiv This may prove to be the best $29 I spent on a program in quite a long time. Thank you for posting this. I am finally getting some time to dig into this gem. And after a few hours with it I realized that I should have done this a long long time ago. Working on a song I have already written, just to get myself familiar with the features and establish some kind of work flow, I am finding that it is a lot easier to do this than I thought it would be. Took me a little while to get going, and after one you tube video (importing a audio file (that's a killer feature!) ) I have got the strumming and picking down on the tabs just like I am playing it!!! All the little nuances and all!! That has me flipping out!! This is just a little three chord deal, but I got the tab playing in perfect sync with the audio file!! WHAT DA >>>!!! What I did was put the chords in trk 1. On trk 2 I have the picking. Trk #2 is where I really started to see some of the potential of this program. This program makes it really easy to do a trial and error type workflow, which works really well for me. (I can see myself humming a idea and getting it down relatively easy.) I put the notes I know I play on the tab. But it was really stiff and not flowing. So I imported a audio file of the song I have, lined it up and got it in sync (it ain't hard at all!) and then was able to get the tab/notation exactly like I play it!! I was freaking out!! Really!! I never thought this would be possible. But it is, and it ain't that hard. There is a learning curve to be sure. But it's really not that steep. I still have a lot to learn, but I can only see this getting better. And better! I really can see that my whole work-flow for writing and recording just changed tonight. At $29, if your a guitar player, and write your own stuff, this is no-brainer deal!!
