  1. RIP. You brought me many many hours of enjoyment to my life. For that I will always be grateful. See you on the other side.
  2. @Bapu did you get a chance to record with them yet?
  3. These look a lot like the Townsend mics. Wonder what the difference is?
  4. Yep. I would say that I was one of those that bought their first three albums. I still think those three albums are some of the best RnR ever put out. When Kiss Alive came out, I dropped off somewhat. Then Destroyer came out I was OK with it, but it wasn't the rock I had come to expect from them. Rock And Roll Over was the last album of Kiss I ever bought. And I have only bought it one time. The first three albums I wore out and purchased many times after. Some of the first bands I joined I got them to play stuff off those first three albums. We'd play "Black Diamond" and people would come up after the show and ask did we write that!!! They just didn't know that it was Kiss. Rock Bottom was another one that got the crowd going. The band was real reluctant to play "Kiss" stuff because by that time they were marketing for the kids and they didn't want to be associated with that BS. But once I got them to listen and play stuff off the first three albums, AND they saw the audience reaction, it was no problem to get them to do more from those albums. (we never did "Beth!") That first album just had some of the best raw sound and feeling. Not even mentioning the hooks every song had!!! Hooks for days!! Hotter Than Hell has great songs on it, but it's not as well produced as the first album IMHO. Dressed to Kill had much better songs than " I, wanna rock n roll all night... But that was the one that put them over the top.
  5. Yep. If I were to be more into samples for orchestration, I would look several places to get info before making a purchase. I learned here fairly quickly that good quality orchestration libs cost a lot. A hella lot!! Regardless of what the posts evolve into, most people here can find pretty good deals. On many different things. Just deals. Isn't that the name of this sub forum of a sub forum?
  6. I just went through my 3 Melda Bundles, Creative, Mixing, and the Free upgraded. Man there is a lot that was added that I hadn't realized. I got stuff I never knew I had. Gonna check out the Turbo series. I haven't had the time to go through them all yet.
  7. I got a metronome on the left, and 5 USB sticks on the right. And two keyboards in the middle.
  8. I listened to them the other day. All nice tunes Bat. Nice looking guitar too!!

I see guys all the time rejecting calls from their gf because they in the middle of a game. The state of the youth today!! LOL! jk
  10. I gave this another listen on a different system and I confirmed what I heard. Listened to the song all the way through and it is an interesting song with really good bass lines. On my second listen I noticed high end harshness. Maybe you mistakenly uploaded the wrong version. I have done that.
  11. @Ewoof Tom is right. Post this in the songs forum. Not many people will see it here. Now about your video for Feel, you did that? That's good stuff dude. Real. Having a shot of the player stand there thinking before he throws "his final try" speaks volumes. Well done.
  12. Tim to me it sounds like there is some distortion. Like a master limiter is being driven to hard?
  13. Really smooth song. Good vocal job. Good mix.
  14. Nice song. Wasn't expecting what I got!! Pleasantly surprised. Vocal harmonies were good. Added a nice touch.

Very good work Nigel. Great video!! I did find that the sound quality seemed to me to be better on Spotify than on the YouTube video. Listening to the album now. I like the new singer. What happened to the girl? Good to see you in a vidoe too!!
  16. LOL!! Just can't let it go can ya!! I wanna see a pic of that Tele, not that I don't like the look of that strat!! I will give it a better listen Bat, but from what I heard it's my cup of tea. Liked to hear the whole trilogy once your finished.
  17. Happy New Year Steven! And a Happy New Year to everyone!!
  18. Some of your better monitors with the 4K are getting better to deliver a good experience. I got a Acer 27" that serves me well. It's default resolution is 1440x900. This works extremely well with CW and the plugins. Nothing is too small, and most is large enough so that I don't have a problem seeing stuff. I am not going with a larger monitor because I will be sitting too close to a large 43" model like Larry has. I have thought about getting another Acer with the same resolution, but the 27" really gives me all I want. So I just have a small Dell 19" on the side that I been having for years!! I am essentially a cheap guy!! : )
  19. I will load different songs/backing tracks and start the project with one on solo. Play along with that. Next song, another key and tempo. Next song, same thing, another key and different tempo. And I have several different versions of this with different songs. CW came lots of backing tracks in the day. Sweetwater has a lot on their site to dl for free. CW also came with clips that you could string together and make backing tracks. So yes I have been using CW to practice with for quite awhile.
