turned 11 years old that day
Oh... I didn't get this the first time around. I thought you meant you would turn 11 that year. And I know how some people are about their age. Give them a inch and they get all upset!! So in the heat of posting I just made an assumption.... my bad!!

Fender 30 foot guitar cable $43
A Sweetwater cable $31. They call it ProCo Brand in the search and title. But the cables have Sweetwater on them.

wish I hadn't wasted all the time I eventually did dicking around with itÂ
Yep.Â
Very grateful for what I have, but I have allowed some of my skills to get rusty. I was fixing my cup of coffee this morning and thinking about working on my guitars, and doing this and that to a few of them. But then said, I should just go up there and start playing, cause it doesn't make sense to fix something I can't play.Â
So I came and sat down, drank my coffee and started looking at this dang forum!!
I am going play now.

There are songs that I hear on XM that just don't have the sound/impact of the songs I remember. Example: "The Ocean" Led Zep, album "Houses Of The Holy". The drum lick that John puts in that song, made that song!! It was the highlight of it. Today when I hear it on XM or even the local radio station, that triplet kick is almost unheard now. So younger people that hear it today for the first time will not get the very important 'feel' of the song.Â
Seems that radio today has computerized all music to eliminate the "loudness difference" with algorithms that have effectively drained the dynamics and altering the mixes of once great recordings!!
ZZ Top "LaGrange" is another example, when it was released on CD it had way too much reverb on it. Did not have the same sound as the original. Kansas "Leftoverture" release on CD was the same way. Way too much reverb. ZZ Top corrected this when they released their "Studio Albums" box set. Thanks Billy! (However, some radio stations still use that over-reverbed versions)
I could go on... but I will stop this rant from getting out of hand!!Â
Blame it on @craigb, he got me started!!!

Just got around to reading this article. It was very well written. Very good analogies he used. Was able to connect and understand exactly what he was saying.
Best quote from article IMHO:
"the importance of constraint as a catalyst for creativity"

Excellent song all around Nigel. Fantastic recording, great song structure, unbelievable video!! Well done.
Seriously, that video on my screen looked fantastic. Excellent detail, high quality scenes, transitions were in time... That's top notch professional work there.
BTW, great vocals too!!

Good song with a great beat and feel!! Excellent recording. Drummer is solid and has great push/pull going on. That's hard to do. It has to come naturally! And he does it well.
Guitars sounded great, as did the bass. Excellent lead sound. Sounds really good. What kind of PV? PV speakers too? Your rhythm is good and chunky. Â
Vocals out front, could hear and understand all the words!!
IF I was to offer a suggestion, the kick needs some definition. At the very least more volume in the upper, to hear that "thap".
What kind of mics? into what kind of mixer? into any comps? LOL!!!
Excellent job!
