  1. Noel has said many times that one of the reasons a plugin doesn't work in CbB (or Sonar for that matter) and it will work in another DAW is that they (CbB devs) adhere more closely to Windows specs and Steinberg vst specs than other DAW's do. So when a problem occurs in CbB, it could be CbB code, but more often it's the plugin devs not following the specs as close as CbB does. So that could be why it shows in CbB and not in another DAW.
  2. No doubt that we don't know the full extent of what this reverb can do. But as an analogy, when Melda came out with their Turbo Reverb and that asking price was way beyond what I can get Abbey Road Plates for on sale, to me as a buyer, it just seems over priced. (To Melda's credit, Turbo Rev sounds really good and what you can do with it is really worth the asking price. I have it now. But I did get it on sale!! : ) Knowing what I know about all the T-Racks stuff I have I never had any question that this new plugin would sound fantastic. Just not ready to pull the trigger on that much for another reverb. Maybe I'll take another look and see if I missed something. And as I said all along, I will end up with this plugin for sure. Eventually.
  3. Did they last? Were they worth the money spent?
  4. That was funny!! Best quote of the day!! I would have to agree with you. We really don't need another reverb, in 2020, at that price!!! I'll pass on this .... for now!! Told ya'll.... I'm gonna end up with it... no doubt. Not at the full price. And for sure not at the intro price either.
  5. That would have been the end for me too. I didn't know about this. Though I do think I remember something about it vaguely, didn't know the details. Now I can understand some of the negativity when talk of Waves comes around. Not a good way to treat customers.

Ohhhh.... that's the part I didn't understand. Give it a shot. Nothing to loose!
  7. I guess congratulations is in order to IK for slamming another out the park!! (Thanks Zo for reminding me of my manners)
  8. I am not inclined to spend that much on a new reverb. I am sure the plugin is top notch. No doubt sounds great with the Sunset character. But..... No doubt I will get it though. When it goes on super sale!!
  9. I was going to ask the same thing.
  10. Intro $149!!? Nobody sees this as "high"? Regularly $249!!! WT *?
  11. From the videos I watched, it looks like the system is capable of 64 channels. But that is with a SoundGrid server. And I don't know if the server has A/D converters in it. [edit] No it does not come with converters. That's another expense. And you will still need a PC to work with it too. Oh, and it can use up to four touch screens at the same time. All examples I saw was with two. So the way it looks to me is, if (and a mighty big if!) the venue your going to mix at has a SoundGrid setup, then all you would need to bring to it is you touch screens (and/or the FIT) and your laptop. Another way to look at it is $$$$

I agree. @Joakim write to Koby at everyplugin.com and tell him what you want to do and he will let you know what's your best option/bang for buck.
  13. This is geared for users of WAves Studio Grid, is wat it looks like to me. No DAW integration. Made to be used with the Emo/SoundGrid setup for live mixing.
  14. That Bass and Drum Collection isn't a bad deal for $42. Nine plugins = < $5 per plugin. 2 modules of CLA, Eddie K, Maserati, and 3 of JJP. These are all good plugin, depending on the sound your going for. Each module has it's own character, but still useful beyond the presets.
  15. Definitely. With my RME FireFace 400 (old unit) the software mixer has the routing ability to mute the mains while the headphones are still active. In fact, it allows a different mix for the mains and a completely different one for the headphones. Both at the same time if you want. Or one or the other. I never would pay that kind of money for a simple AI. But I got one used at what I thought was a good price. It was still way more than I ever thought I would give for a AI. But this thing is outstanding. And it's all down to the drivers. Don't get me wrong, the hardware is top notch. But it's the drivers that they still supply for this older interface that sets it apart. And that's when I realized where all the money was going. I made a promise to myself to not buy any other AI again. The money spent on a new RME interface would be well worth it over the long haul. But then a UA Apollo Twin came up used for a good price. I have not had the chance to try the Apollo yet, but I can tell you I ain't getting rid of the RME! : )

    SAD NEWS!!!

I saw Rush in NOLA at a place called The Warehouse, on Tchoupitoulas Street. They played all of 2112, and a lot from the first three albums. RIP Neil.
  17. Yeah, I almost forgot about it. Used it to pickup AR Saturator for $20.
  18. I couldn't find any info on it.

    Ugh,,,,
  20. Waves has a place to d/l the installers for v6 plugins, and up.. I don't think they officially support any version other than the current version. Love Waves plugins. The sound is top notch always. GUI is really dated on a lot of the plugins. But they are more than usable. Some of the new plugins are really unique. Other new plugin they put out are just updated plugins that can be found elsewhere. Waves plugins I don't want to do without: AR Plates RS56 Torque Smack Attack Schepps stuff C1 L3 Vitamin SSL stuff
  21. That SS11x is really sweet. If your a Boogie fan, that Triaxis is really good too! @Mesh I was going to grab that Spark sim, just didn't know if it would sound good. Thanks for the review!! If I miss this sale I will wait on the next one. Mercuriall has a couple.of free pedals that those interested can give them a try. They have a Tube Screamer and a Mesa Grid Slammer clone.
  22. Buffer is as high as it will go! ANd yes there are probably some takes and other stuff that's been archived and set aside. I keep an eye on this stuff. Plugins on just the busses right off the top of my head: Abbey Road Plates Waves ADT FabFilter Timeless 2 Waves C3 Waves L3 UltraMax Waves API 2500 Waves Durough Meters IK EQ73 x2 Some other I can't remember now.
  23. I am still going (last leg though!) with the ole i7 2600k. But a project I was working on last night brought the ole girl to her knees. It is only about 30trks of audio. Most have some type of plugin on the trk. 6 busses with lots of plugins. Went to add Schepps Parallel Particles and it wound not play but for about two seconds and stop. Even with all trks frozen! Yeah the ole girl served me well, but last night proved that my recent purchase of the i7 9900k is gonna be nice! Just gotta finish the build.

    new tune - voices

Yep, just like everyone else said, great song tastefully done. Loved the unison phrases in there.
  25. Nice tune. Mixed well. I liked it. Good work.
