  1. In my eye I shall believe what Jim has posted. He hasn't steered us wrong in how many years! Really @Hugh Mann you need to do your homework. Jim has been part of this community since the Cakewalk early days. He tells it like it is and is very detail oriented. He doesn't care about the CPU manufacturer inside the machines he sells. If AMD is better then Intel he will use AMD. Intel was kicking butt until AMD new 5000's series of chips for low latency audio came out. Now about the Apple M1 chips, they are very nice mobile chips but they are not and I repeat the M1 are not Intel and AMD killers. Heck the new AMD Ryzen 5700U, 5800U mobile processor would be better for most of us for a laptop build. Plus Cakewalk by Bandlab would work on it. Peace
  2. Thanks Jim for passing along your knowledge. As always most appreciated ?
  3. Heck competition is great. Now Intel, AMD on the x86 hardware front have work to do and MS on the software end. Just think when Ryzen is on 5nm for laptop chips?
  4. We haves sales reps that have laptops and would love the battery life of the M1. But one sales rep has a surface Pro and she says it is perfect for her needs.
  5. I think Bapu has that one already ?
  6. Looks like you gave enough volts to clean out his Sinuses. That was so thoughtful of you Kenny

  19. Wow that is talent. You bang the right way and you are able to get Am
  20. So true. I was trying to show dad and son how to use an airbrush as the dad hasn't used one in over 15 years. His son wanted to try so bad and when he didn't get good results right away he handed the airbrush back to his dad and was done with it. I was having a good chuckle about it inside. Thinking how long it took be to learn how to airbrush models as a teenager. I would spent hours weathering tanks, airplanes, etc... Seems the majority now a days want that instant result or on to the next thing. I'm so thankful my daughters aren't like that and each have there own hobbies that they spend hours on learning to get better. One of my pet-peeves about school in general that all about the testing and not about actually teaching and having the children learn. I don't blame the teachers as they are in a bind. If your students don't test well you can be out of a job next year. Now parents, there are quite a few I would love to beat over the head with a Salami on how I see them raising their off-spring ? Peace
  21. You have a valid point. I'm one of the linear type DAW users but I agree music making has changed. Find a few DAW's as one is not enough IMHO and make some tunes?
