  1. Wait, what ... that's not just the upgrade price but also the regular price. That's crazy.
  2. Plus VAT. In Germany that raises the price to €108.00 😭
  3. I also think 4 stars is a bad rating. Besides, I regret buying the Scaler 2 course. It wasn't bad. Not at all. The thing was just: They created so many great free YouTube videos that it was totally unnecessary to buy the course. And the manual is good too.
  4. I wanted to share the second newsletter that came after this. I find it kinda cute and heartwarming.
  5. Getting Total Studio Max is a better deal though, which you can sometimes get for around $100 as an upgrade from any IK product. It contains these two plus so much more.
  6. https://audiolatry.gumroad.com/l/retrovibes/WKNDRETX They also have sales on other plugins. Taken from their newsletter:
  7. The latest Beat Magazine issue brings us this nice freebie from Tracktion: Dan Dean Essential Bass Collection As usually, subscribers can already download the latest issue of Beat Magazine at https://www.plugins-samples.com/downloads/ This month's free Zampler expansion is called "ANA Logue". I couldn't find a product page for this, so no link. I guess it's too new. Please don't ask me for the answers to the questions to get the downloads and serials. Subscribe, buy, or wait until they have it on Readly or so.
  8. I already have Komplete 14 Standard, so I don't really need this, but I wonder, how do you get Komplete 15 Select for 15$? The versions that contain Massive X are "Beats" and "Electronic". "Band" is missing it.
  9. Scaler 2 wasn't much smaller. To use the standalone app with your computer keyboard, set "Bind octave" to 4. Then click on the keyboard at the bottom to set the focus on it and you should be able to play with your keyboard. scaler3.mp4
  10. They advertise it as a freebie in their newsletter. Ends on the fourth of May.
  11. No, they sent the email again. I got it yesterday and my code worked. It's the old bx_refinement, though. I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually becomes freeware on Plugin Alliance.
  12. https://www.waproduction.com/plugins/view/detroubler It's been online for about a week now. Sale ends in 11 days and 6 hours from now on. Regular price is $39.90. Intro price is 70% off, making it $12. Detroubler is a one-knob solution for mixes that sound boomy, boxy, muddy, honky, harsh or sizzly. According to the website "The plugin uses psychoacoustic principles to make changes, improving the sound of frequency bands and their corresponding masking frequencies according to the Bark Scale." I don't know. Could it be good? Deres from WA Production has gotten some good reviews and I haven't read anything about this one yet. What do y'all think? Has anyone tried it yet? (Update: I used the trial version and could hardly hear a difference) Also, as usually, you get a sample mega pack with each purchase. Currently it's Deep House Mega Pack 4. If you search for WA Production coupon codes, you'll probably be able to find a 20% or 25% off coupon.
  13. Not for me though. I have X and for me it shows $199. That's why I thought the price of $99 might be a typo.
  14. You mean $199, right? Edit: or is that the upgrade price for V Collection 9 to X?
  15. https://www.humblebundle.com/software/music-for-dummies-software Learn how to sing, play the piano, bass, ukulele, violin or guitar. Pay at least €27.49 for 11 items, €13.74 for 2 items, or €1 for 1 item. These "for Dummies" titles aren't PDFs but installable software that doesn't just have text and pics but also comes with audio and video examples and tools such as tuner, metronone, recorder, chord dictionary.
  16. Same here but just because I already got so much from them. It's actually a great deal. They exclude some of the most attractive plugins, but I would have been happy to get Thorn + AMEK 9099 for $29.99, for example.
  17. It's giving "I was a Nirvana fan before it was cool" 😉
  18. That's crazy. Just this morning I was thinking to myself "I wonder when Serum 2 is coming out". No joke.
  19. That's the first positive review of a Wedge Force product that I've ever seen. Maybe that's also the reason why PA don't want to be associated with them anymore.
  20. Iron 2 free? Are you sure? I know they gave Iron 1 for free but never heard that they did that with Iron 2.
  21. Iron 2 does have a DI mode, though. If you switch off all other effects and use DI mode, I believe you should have something that you can use with your amps.
  22. Yes, I have. It sounds great and gives you good sounding results quickly because it comes with patterns that it can play for you at the press of a key. Which might be the reason why real guitar players look down on it. Also, you have less control over the sound. Shreddage 3 Hydra (and also other Shreddage guitars) is also well suited to play that type of rhythmic guitar. Look at some of the videos by Impact Soundworks on YouTube, like these:
  23. Also easy to miss: In the software list, some have a "Presets" or "Extras" tab which contain additional downloads.
  24. I have no idea which is the best one, but am quite happy with Shreddage 3 Hydra. I got it for €28.66 with a coupon code that I received when I unsubscribed from their newsletter. There are often some coupon codes floating around the internet for their products.
