Free BX Refinement (for those who signed up for Fix The Mix courses)
audioschmaudio replied to Lamia6's topic in Deals
No, they sent the email again. I got it yesterday and my code worked. It's the old bx_refinement, though. I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually becomes freeware on Plugin Alliance. -
https://www.waproduction.com/plugins/view/detroubler It's been online for about a week now. Sale ends in 11 days and 6 hours from now on. Regular price is $39.90. Intro price is 70% off, making it $12. Detroubler is a one-knob solution for mixes that sound boomy, boxy, muddy, honky, harsh or sizzly. According to the website "The plugin uses psychoacoustic principles to make changes, improving the sound of frequency bands and their corresponding masking frequencies according to the Bark Scale." I don't know. Could it be good? Deres from WA Production has gotten some good reviews and I haven't read anything about this one yet. What do y'all think? Has anyone tried it yet? (Update: I used the trial version and could hardly hear a difference) Also, as usually, you get a sample mega pack with each purchase. Currently it's Deep House Mega Pack 4. If you search for WA Production coupon codes, you'll probably be able to find a 20% or 25% off coupon.

Not for me though. I have X and for me it shows $199. That's why I thought the price of $99 might be a typo.
-
You mean $199, right? Edit: or is that the upgrade price for V Collection 9 to X?

Plugin Alliance - Pick 2 plugins for $29.99 only!
audioschmaudio replied to Mondo Huynh's topic in Deals
Same here but just because I already got so much from them. It's actually a great deal. They exclude some of the most attractive plugins, but I would have been happy to get Thorn + AMEK 9099 for $29.99, for example. -
It's giving "I was a Nirvana fan before it was cool" 😉
-
That's crazy. Just this morning I was thinking to myself "I wonder when Serum 2 is coming out". No joke.

Iron 2 by UJAM $19 was $49 @ Plugin Boutique
audioschmaudio replied to GTsongwriter's topic in Deals
Iron 2 free? Are you sure? I know they gave Iron 1 for free but never heard that they did that with Iron 2. -

Iron 2 does have a DI mode, though. If you switch off all other effects and use DI mode, I believe you should have something that you can use with your amps. -
Yes, I have. It sounds great and gives you good sounding results quickly because it comes with patterns that it can play for you at the press of a key. Which might be the reason why real guitar players look down on it. Also, you have less control over the sound. Shreddage 3 Hydra (and also other Shreddage guitars) is also well suited to play that type of rhythmic guitar. Look at some of the videos by Impact Soundworks on YouTube, like these:
-
Also easy to miss: In the software list, some have a "Presets" or "Extras" tab which contain additional downloads.
-
So true. Removing the 180 day download restriction turned me from a hater to a fan. I can understand why they had it in place though. Allowing people to download hundreds of GB does cost them money too.
-
Even worse, having upgraded from 3.5 MAX to 4 MAX, the product manager tells me that the additional synths are installed when really they only had 2 or 3 presets inside - maybe from some of the expansions. So I looked up which synths are new to 4 MAX and checked which only had very few presets in my installation and clicked "Reinstall" for all those. Not very intuitive and user friendly.

https://www.tracktion.com/products/biotek $107 instead of $179, or upgrade from v2 for $59.40 instead of $99.

According to https://www.thomann.de/intl/ik_multimedia_t_racks_6_max_upgrade.htm:

Awesome! I still had $2 store credit on producerspot that I had forgotten about. They didn't add any VAT, and I got the license instantly. And now I earned another $2 store credit for my next purchase there
-
That's not really surprising though. 4000 presets over 200 synths means an average of 20 presets per synth, obviously.
-
Wow, the intro price was $49?! I missed that. I would have bought it too, probably. I wonder, is it worth buying if I already have Syntronik 2? Both seem to be quite similar as they're both basically romplers with sampled synthesizers and some settings that let you tweak the sound. What annoys me a little about Syntronik is that it takes a little while to load a preset. Will probably be the same with Synth Anthology, because they have to load the samples. Or is it quicker?

https://www.uvi.net/synth-anthology-4 $74 instead of $149. Same in Euros.
