How's the Audiomodern Soundbox player compared to Kontakt etc? Does it require an account to use or just install? -
Thanks. It looks the same to me. I was wondering if I was going insane, since the instruments I bought individually do not have that basket option anymore. But I guess Roland processes products in a bundle a bit differently.
-
Cheers. For the D-50 and other bundled synths, do you have the basket icon behind the three dots and/or something else?
-
No need to keep it running. Just need to run it once a month (at least for the lifetime key -items).
-
Did you buy the bundle? Do the four synths show up as bought/redeemed in Roland Cloud for you, or do they still show the three dots > basket icon when you browse them via 'Software Instruments'?
-
I've got ~220 bucks with their name and the words "symphony orchestra" on them. Just waiting for them to do the right thing.
-
You can get 10% off from NI themselves if you use Simeon's affiliate code 'praise10'. Most likely some other Youtuber has one too.
-
Don't think the 60% code works anymore. SV30 saves 30%.

VSTBuzz Closing Down Sale - 100 Best Deals Return
Kirean replied to Music Software Deals's topic in Deals
Well, VSTBuzz re-opened and as expected the deals are.. not as epic as their advertisement promised: https://vstbuzz.com/ Plus now you need to click on the deals to see the price. As they say: "Not with a bang but a whimper." -
404 - Not Found. Kinda expensive Edit: nevermind, Works now.
-
I bought the $1 tier just to test. Only got WAV files.
-
Codemeter is a blight. If only Virharmonic stopped using it as well.
-
Yeah. Got it a year ago when it was ~30 bucks. At 15 it's an extreme steal.
-
Guess I got lucky with the pricing then as well. Nice. Once I'm through my dayjob freelance stuff, it's time to shine and create the most complete and deeply sampled fart instrument ever.
-
Nah, not yet. Just figured that things are often more complicated than they initially seem. I'm sure you'll figure it out though.
-
You can also create a new instrument when you record the sighs and gasps you make as you try to figure it all out.
-
All I see is ~100 bucks with owning Smarteq 4

If companies are using their own auth servers, the minimum should be to have a feature where you can manage the licence online (deactivate/etc). But yeah, I'd consider changing DRM a shady move and worth raised eyebrows unless it actually and truly benefits the consumer (ie. making it easier by removing online activation etc). It should not reduce the user's options and chances to use the software. And by default, if a company is stopping support for a software they should do all in their power so that those who have bought it can continue to use and will be able to do so in the future with the current or similar configuration (within reason).

Too true. I really don't want another installer on my computer to increase the bloat. Especially if they don't allow you to select where to install them and especially if they install **** on random folders in the systems drive anyway. Just let me download the plugin, install it where I want, keep it contained and control the activation from the web (or better yet, just make it a simple serial without draconian online checks and hardware prints or having to email the developer to deactivate or reset the activations.) Not that I'm constantly activating/deactivating plugins anyway but if I were to do a system reset and start clean, the process of uninstalling/deactivating/etc is gonna be a major pain and a timesinker.
-
Same. I've spent some but my mind has definitely been less active on reading deals and most of all, less active on acting up on them. I guess a lot of the deals as of late haven't really triggered the 'dontthinkaboutit' part of the brain and thus not as much impulse buys anymore. I hope, I really hope, that I've also come to the realization that unless it's a really good deal, I don't need another EQ or whatever. I think I've also been soured by some of the holiday deals where I could have gotten a better deal had I waited a month or two. There also hasn't been that many price glitches as of late or they've been patched out before being able to act.
