  1. Uvi workstation is their player, but it currenty only supports samlebased libraries (?). Halionsonic is just that though, and I suspect UVI will eventually follow
  2. What is at lest the name of the infamous other site, if links are forbidden for what ever reason (against forum rules or not)? Is it on Reddit? An existing forum?
  3. I guess this is similar to sonible smartverb
  4. I tried to change my password to mirror the native one, but it didn’t work. My understanding is that they’ve blocked this as they are transitioning to a joint account database. They are using the same backend but currently with 2 separate user account databases. .
  5. I wish the old modules had been updated in stead of adding new ones which mostly overlap with the existing ones. The bundle is still missing basic features like gain compensation, ducking, mix knob, better visualization and dynamic eq. I’m fact, I would have bought the upgrade even without any new plugins if these features had been added but don’t need more saturators so will not bite at €125 inc VAT.

    UVI $20 off

I’d go with Falcon, not a fan of sampled synths
  7. I’d give shade a go, amazing tool for movement and special fx
  8. Another 10% for existing clients, check your mail. Pretty good add-on
  9. Ohly support for speakers and measurement I think
  10. There are other useful features of VST3 depending on your use case, ex Note expression, surround out, sample accurate automation, better remote support and while some plugins may support side chaining I prefer a standard approach without vendor workarounds etc. Summary of new VST3 features: VST features I don’t mind VST2 plugins (in many cases it’s all the same) but the fact that a VST3 version is missing may be a sign that the plugin is no longer maintained. i only install the VST3 version myself although these plugins generally tend to have more issues. It’s probably because they are using a lot of new code and the situation should improve over time. It’s already a lot better than it was 1-2 years ago.
  11. My primary use case is using it with a side chain in spectral mode, for instance to carve out space for vocals. It’s also very tweakable and if you open the advanced mode you can pretty much make it sound like any other compressor, and you can play with the styles if you don’t want to deep dive manually. The last thing I really like is the visual feedback. I’m not saying it’s for you, but just wanted to share a different view if someone is considering it.
  12. This is what I always say as well. Btw, steinberg/yamaha is pretty good with updates as well. Motu at least used to be good it but haven’t had one for a while. The more gimmicks, the more likely it is to break after os updates etc
  13. I wonder when the grace period began as I just bought it a few days ago.
  14. When are they going to make the preset bar readable on a 4k monitor? Some of the plugins are scalable, like amp room, but the preset bar is still tiny.
