As an amp sim, probably not ; it's mostly interesting as a multi FX imo

Guitar rig is really fine for sound design, it contains great fx, modulators and utilities

you can buy some effects for this price, like Replika XT or Supercharger GT upgrades

and you also get Dirty Tape for free
