  1. Happy Birthday, Larry! Raising a glass to your good health, your next Vegas residency, and continued Lordship of the Deals Forum! We share the same birthday and I find it’s one of the quieter days of the year since most just say “Merry Christmas and happy birthday!” in the same breath…on Christmas Day.
  2. Yeah, that would have been tough for me too, but coming from 4.6 I can definitely see the value and the demo sealed the deal for me.
  3. I turn to Thomann more often these days and will for S1 Pro update, too. $111 for S1 update. https://www.thomannmusic.com/presonus_studio_one_6_pro_ug_1_5_pro.htm
  4. Merry Christmas from Detroit! Thanks to everyone (especially you, Larry) for the great deals but even more so to the group for the banter, great stories, sage advice, and occasional group gripes that make this such a great family. Whatever your faith or persuasion, I hope you have peace at the end of yet another year. OK, I admit it. I'm just procrastinating and should get back to wrapping. Dammit.
  5. Just upgraded from MPS 4.0 to MPS 5 UE for $118 and some change like previous mentions. Products loaded just fine.
  6. So tempting, but with Echoboy, Little Echoboy, Replika XT, Arturia, etc. I just can’t justify it. But I love their UI…
  7. I'll get another reverb if you pick this up.
  8. Rock on, Larry! Hope you have a memorable birthday! No advice for your flight other than to practice patience. Once you get there, though...
  9. Gets the Loyalty Offer for MPS 5 Universal upgrade from MSP 4 down to $186 and some change. Hmmmm.
  10. I did say "at the moment...!"
  11. Sparkverb or TaiChi...only room for one more reverb...at the moment.
  12. I inserted on a track with Playbeat which I picked up on BF and it can add some interesting and cool rhythmic modulation. Not something I'm going to use a lot of but I have yet to try it on other sources or with automation added.
  13. Thanks for the first code, Niky. I had no idea what I would do with this until I just started playing with it.
  14. That pink bunny (why???) scares the sh*t outta me.
  15. Congrats, MM—thanks for sharing the goodness! This is really nice to hear. A buddy of mine is a DJ here in Detroit and I hear stories about how hard it is to even get that far. Enjoy the buzz!!!
  16. I love Neural plug-ins, first of all. In the case of ReValver, I find the dynamics are actually on par with Neural plug-ins which is amazing when you consider just how long ReValver has been around. like BFD3, it’s suffered from a lack of investment and modernizing, but the variety of amps is extensive, as are the number of effects, some of which are unique. I take ReValver’s 6505 models over any similar models. They’re stellar. I always use 3rd party IR’s which helps most amp sims in general. That said, Neural plug-ins are easy to dial in and a joy to navigate. If ReValver had a better overall user experience, I’d probably use it the most, although it does lack some key amp heads vs. it’s competition. At $29, I’ve never seen a better value for an all-in amp sim suite, but understand folk’s concerns with its age. As with BFD3, I’m hopeful that ReValver gets some love—it was my first amp sim and I would be happy to make it my last. I’m really tired of chasing tones when there are perfectly good ones here today, especially when it comes to placing them in a mix. Does it replace Nolly, Gojira, and Pliny? No, but I don’t think it would take much outside of creating a better user experience and adding a few bells and whistles. As it is, I go to it often when I need an all-around suite of amps and effects, and the 3rd party plugin integration is one of the reasons why. Much easier on CPU than Neural and Softube, too.
  17. I am SO glad you like it. I'm a reverb hoarder and it consistently lands on more tracks than most. It really is something else, and so easy to dial in.
  18. Yep...been waiting for Softube to take $4 off the price of the Marshall Cabinet Collection...said no one ever. Having said that, the new IR loader in AmpRoom - basic as it is - includes some EXCELLENT IRs and finally gives users an easy way to load their own. But if you didn't get it for $46 last week I'm not sure when we'll see that price again. Superb value at BF prices.
  19. I don't use all of them consistently outside of REV Intensity which is one of my go-to reverbs. Fragments is excellent - I prefer it to the Output plugins (Movement, Portal) that sort of do the same thing. The Flanger is super flexible, and I use it almost exclusively for that effect. My out of pocket for FX2 and the upgrade was $100; throw in some compressors and EQs that get pulled out once in a while and I'm OK with the investment. But that reverb...
  20. Not sure if Petrucci or Rabea will go lower since they’re the latest releases. But I’d go for Petrucci, too. Then I’d have to edit my loot list again. But that’s OK.
  21. Larry beat me to it by HOURS. Silly me. Too many threads to follow. Sign of a good BF!!!
  22. Sound wise always spoke highly of its dynamics—I have to agree. It feels closest to the response of an actual amp to me. No brainer, and one of the main reasons I left so many other guitar sims in the cart this year, including Helix Native.
