I KNOW, RIGHT?!!!!!! I'm a collector and it's a problem. I've already owned Helix Native and S-Gear fer God's sake!!!!!!!
-
Damn. Gotta redo my loot list.
-
I backed out of much of the list after realizing how much additional duplication I would have, even though I would miss all the shiny new things. Keepers: Toontrack Fusion EZBass MIDI Toontrack Metal Machine EZX = maybe some useful sounds and decent MIDI all for a MIDI pack price Audiomodern Playbeat Arturia FX3 upgrade from FX2 Left in the cart: Helix Native Scuffham S-Gear Mercuriall Reaxis Studio One Pro 6 update Baby Audio Crystalline Saved some $$$, for sure.

+1 for Drew kudos. I wouldn't be using BFD3 today if it weren't for his patience and help. You actually need to show some patience with him, too, but he comes through in the end.

https://www.thomannmusic.com/toontrack_superior_drummer_3.htm If you don't have SD3 already, this is killer: SD3 PLUS any expansion, including those in the $179 range that are not on sale...for $311. That's a good deal but obviously not direct from TT.

Neural DSP Flash Sale - 60% off Archetype: Abasi

Ends November 30th! -
The Audio Assault loader is super flexible and easy to use; I just can't figure out how to change the default IR folder to the one I use. The PRS Archon with Ownhammer IRs sounds REALLY good.
-
I find these to work best with 3rd party IRs, and definitely worth the $20. There have been a ton of deals the last couple of weeks that would benefit new musicians even more than us crotchety veterans who have amassed tons of plugins already. The PRS amps, Renn Max, and Total Studio 3.5 being examples.
-
Slightly on topic, but this is super interesting and making me want to give TONEX a bit more time:
-
The stock BFD3 cymbals are very nice as well.
-
Trust me...I was nearly done with them as well but the latest release talked me off the edge. I would still be using it today if they weren't being innovated around. I sent them a note ages ago about how they had an ecosystem already built between their kits, Drum Drops, and Platinum Samples but failed in every way to unify the pieces. I still hope for better days for BFD3 and have used SD3 to build a drum track that would eventually be mapped to BFD3 but its too much work to do that consistently. But damn do they sound good, and the latest - Dark Farm - is no exception. $43 for BFD3 at Thomann makes me happy for someone who doesn't have it yet.

50% off Arturia V Collection 9, FX Collection 3, and Pigments:
Marc Cormier replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
$49 for the FX3 upgrade and $69 for Pigments, which I was on the fence about earlier but that price might make me fall onto their side of the fence. Just looking further, I see $149 to upgrade to V9 but I don't have anything from previous versions. -
We know you’re bluffing. No more Flatulus? C’mon.

I don't think they were always demo-able, thus I found my self with some Rigs that didn't really suit my needs. Having said that, I found the Plexi, DM Mark, and Randall heads to be excellent and very flexible. They're not included in the Essentials package but I'm also more interested in just a few of the Rig packs. If they're captured separately from the cabs, the Rigs can be blended nicely with IRs that you can load into any of the speaker cabs that are provided outside of the Rig Player.
-
I hadn't heard of Essentials until today - it might be totally new. There isn't enough in it to really warrant a high cost as you still need to buy Rigs to get the most out of the Rig Player. If it's a base (free) version like Bias Amp LE or Amplitube CS then bravo I say, and about time. I didn't have too many Rigs - it's one of the reasons I walked away from THU, honestly. I would rather have liked to see improvements to the stock product vs. continuously churning out more Rigs. The Friedman Naked Rig is fantastic though, so no trouble for me to plop down $25 to get it and a few other bits and pieces from the full THU. The Petrucci Boogie Rig is also quite nice.
-
TH-U Essentials Turns your computer into the most realistic and flexible Guitar Amp Sim ever! FREE with any Rig Library purchase, from Nov 11th to Nov 20th https://www.overloud.com/products/th-u-essentials I used to have THU Premium and really only missed a few of the amp heads but now I can buy the Friedman Naked Rig collection for @$25 at JRR and get a few heads and the Rig Player for free. Great way to get into the vortex of Rig Library if you really enjoy that sucking noise when your wallet runs dry.

Be good and stay safe Larry. Just remember you said "a few days": "few" adjective 1: consisting of or amounting to only a small number 2: at least some but indeterminately small in number
-
Best sounding drums - to my ear. If there were more workflow tools like EZD3 in BFD3 (and more stability), I would never have made the move to Toontrack. V 3.4.4.31 is rock-steady on my system, though.

What's on your BLACK FRIDAY Wish List? (Not a Deal)

I'd pick that over any of the stuff on my list. Thanks for the reality check. -

No new VST instruments or effects this year*: Studio One 6 upgrade New monitors (maybe) Membership to Tim Pierce Masterclass *If I buy the MSP5 upgrade before BF it doesn't count, right?** **If they put the Komplete 14 CU update on sale, just forget about this post. -
All I know is that if I had some of the same opinions now as I did back in the day, y’all might unleash a WUPin’ on me. My current opinion is that I didn’t save enough plug-in money while Larry was on vacation. Wait…that’s an actual fact.

He had an opinion. Can't be doing that these days. As for the library, maybe Abbey Road Studios: If These Floors Could Talk
