Great stuff - very enjoyable listen. Andy

Agree with comments above on the mix, I really like the ritardando on the chorus - just enough to throw you for a second or two - great vocal work and keys. Just sort the respective levels and you should be thereabouts. Nice work. Andy

Love the cymbals - definitely has a dark cinematic vibe - both ethereal and industrial at the same time. If I'm allowed one suggestion - I'd have had the ending just come to a dead stop at around 5:13 and just leave the bell chime to decay naturally. 👍 Andy

Tusk - Fleetwood Mac 😉 I'll see myself out... Andy

Reminds me of some of the stuff I wrote and collaborated on back in the Eighties - all that teenage angst. 😂 Life was so much simpler back then. Took me right back - great job! Andy

Bjorn is that a real guitar or a VST? I like the melody too and the strings are a neat addition. I guess I'd like a bit more variation in the guitar track if I was nitpicking but it works pretty well as it is. Andy

I like the bass and the keys - harmonies are great too and some very neat guitar work. All round good job. 👍 Andy

I have loads of CDs, I ripped all the ones I really care about to FLAC years ago, but I don't presume to be able to do a better mastering job than the professionals who did the originals. I'm not sure why I still keep them really, I sold all my vinyl years ago (I am not in the least bit sentimental about vinyl and don't miss it one bit) but I like to keep the CDs. At least the CDs don't take up as much space. 😃 Andy

Yes I agree, cleanliness is next to Godliness where guitar strings are concerned. I clean my hands before playing with washing up liquid (the equivalent of Blue Dawn), which strips just about everything off your hands, bar the skin. 😂

After getting a less than satisfactory tone, pickup response and too much string squeak from my Taylor T5z (traditionally fitted with Elixir Acoustic Nanowebs) I've just put on a set of D'Addario XS coated electric strings for a change. These are the strings that Taylor now recommend for the T5z. Interesting that Taylor switched their allegiance from Elixir to D'Addario a while back, but I suspect that has more to do with money and corporate deals than the relative quality of Elixir vs XS strings. I'm yet to fully road test the new strings, but my initial impression is that they do sound better and don't significantly impact the acoustic resonance of the guitar (such as it is). What do others fit to their electro-acoustics (if you have one), I accept it's a bit of a niche instrument? Andy

Good song, love the ending - very Gretchen Peters - mix needs a bit more work as things are getting buried in there (especially the vocal). This is definitely worth the investment however and has the makings of a great track. Great vocals too btw. 👍 Andy

To paraphrase the late, great Eric Morecambe: 'You're playing all the right chords, but not necessarily in the right order' 😉😂

Different company, different product, different times. There is no licensing carry over from old Cakewalk products to Sonar by Bandlab. If you want the new product, you sign up to Bandlab and obtain it through an annual subscription - circa $150 a year or $15 a month. No immediate plans for a perpetual license that I am aware of although that may be offered in the fullness of time - who knows. Trying to debate this further is pretty pointless and will almost certainly result in a locked thread.

The chords keep going where you least expect them to - definitely in the Wookiee style. I rather enjoyed it - well composed (and played). Andy

Reminiscent of something The Eagles might have written and recorded - and that's a pretty high bar in my book. Only one word to describe this and that word is 'perfection'. I absolutely loved it! Andy
