Been waiting for this one. Need to update a couple bundles.

If you log into your Waves account, it should be there. They made it free to everyone now.

I love that I now have 4 copies of this on my account. It's become a bit of a gag for me now.

Musician's Friend Backstage Pass Members Bonus Points
TerraSin replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
I got myself a free pop filter. Couldn't find anything else I really needed and since the points are expiring anyway, figured why not? -
You know, I was being very respectful in my statements but the point has obviously gone way over your head. I'm done here.

Why would he entertain you venting your frustrations about something that was likely your own fault? No offense Larry but your taking your aggression out on someone whose fault it isn't is a really crappy thing to do. Be happy he fixed the issue and move on with life.

Most passwords get stolen from old forums that get hacked. If you use the same password on a forum as you do on a site like Steinberg, the chances of you getting it stolen are much much higher. That said, if you are getting snarky with support over something that could possibly have been your own fault for not taking safer security measures on your own end, I can't blame them for closing out the chat and not being very helpful. The people on the other end of the computer are just trying to get to the bottom of what is going on and helping to the best of their abilities. For all they know, you could be a scammer trying to access someone else's account as well via their chat service which is just as common a scam. When you work with support, keep on point, be courteous and try to make the process of getting to the bottom of the issue as painless as possible for both parties. You'll get along much easier that way.

I wish Novation collective got as much love as Focurite.

Not only that but a lot more people would be affected had it been a breach. This sounds more like something that happened off their servers and with a more common method of account exploiting.
-
Also, use encrypted passwords, use a different password for every account and two-factor authentication on emails as that is the most common way for people to lose things is when they have access to your email account and can change passwords.

The joke is they are actually charging for this.

I honestly think they realized they can't keep up with the competition. Toontrack has been burying them on both the core engine and the expanded content. You could tell they were losing interest when the past few years the time between releases of single drum paks got longer and longer. Meanwhile, Toontrack seems to put out new content for SD constantly and it's all really good.
-
Yup, I just can't put my finger on what it was but it was pretty recent, too. Like last month or January.
-
Had a feeling it wasn't going to be AD3. They have all but given up on Addictive Drums. Someone else was working on something very similar to this recently, I remember but I can't for the life of me remember who or what it was called.
-
As much as I'd love to think they are working on AD3, they have a history of working at the speed of snail with even ADPaks so I'm not so sure. Plus, SD3 set the bar really high and I'm not sure XLN is up to the task of reaching that.
-
It's not like they aren't making money from those saved paks though. They are usually obtained by people who buy Custom bundles which, in all honesty, likely makes them a ton of money itself they likely wouldn't have made from single pak sales. I have some saved up so they've already got my money. Plus, they do sales often enough to show that's not really the issue.
-
Except for the past few years they have only put out one single ADPak per year. It's been over a year since the Mallets pak came out.
-
Well that's disappointing. ? Was hoping for some new stuff. Maybe AD3. I feel like they've completely abandoned it at this point so I'm going to start looking elsewhere.
-
I'm curious about this one. I have a lot of percussion libraries already and wondering how this would add to them without overlapping. Gonna wait for some reviews on it, I think.
-
Still no word on what was updated exactly? ?
-
Wish I would have known they stacked before buying. Shame on me for jumping the gun.

Did they have any new news to share? -
