  1. Thank you so much for your words Mark, and thank you for watching!! ? Yes the guitars they have their own sound indeed. They were recorded in same way and with same amp and distortion, but the Ibanez has Dimarzio pickups and the Epiphone has EMGs.
  2. Thanks to all of you guys who commented! I'm glad you like it! I see myself some imperfections in this mix, there are some harsh ''f'' and ''T'' sounds, probably too much compression, wish they were smoother, and I wish I had turned down a bit some breathing sounds in between the words in the chorus haha , but I noticed only after I had already posted.
  3. I also don't complain about the mix. I actually think it is pretty good. Composition is beautiful!

This forum impresses me with the talent of many people here! There is still awesome musicianship and creativity today! They're just not in the mainstream as it used to be in 70s and 80s... sadly. Great stuff Hidden Symmetry!
  5. Great stuff Steve! Reminds of the Beatles! Paul McCartney-ish vocals : )

It may remind of a dense snowy day as well. Good stuff, good mix as well.
  7. Thanks Bjorn! Thank you Nigel!!

Very nice and I love the imagery as well.
  9. Hi everyone! My new cover and mix of The Dead Daisies song ''Hypnotize Yourself'' Would be great to hear your opinion.
  10. Thank you Nigel and everybody! ?
  11. Yes I know what you're talking about, technology advanced a lot. I'm also not that young. 20 years ago I was 20 years old exactly.
  12. I don't doubt at all that it is you : ) I was just wondering maybe it was a whole band and you could be only the guitar player, or drummer, or bass player or the singer of course! that's why I asked. I'm new to this forum : ) Love the track, well done!
  13. Is it your voice? The vocals sometimes are very similar to AC/DC's Bon Scott. I like this kind of voice.
  14. Thanks John! Thank you antler!
  15. Thanks Jeff! The original is below. It was released in 1994, I love the guitar riff on this song.
  16. DeeringAmps thank you so much for your kind and warm words and attention to my mix. The kick is already a sample that I liked for this song at least. And you know what, I find the kick indeed to be the trickiest to make stand out as I want. It's easy for the kick to get buried under the heavy bass and guitars. However, I can hear the kick in my mix quite well, but as I understand you mean you can hear more the beater of the kick than the lower frequencies of the kick. Perhaps that's the case. Or maybe a little more compression, a quicker attack would be better you mean? I'm not altering it though, because I already uploaded it on youtube, and I actually like the way it is. But I sincerely appreciate your input, and specially your positivity about the bass, from both of you who are experienced people! I've been mixing my own covers for about a year now I think, and I watch a lot of videos of Warren Huart's ''Produce Like A Pro''. And Warren many times talks about how important it is to have a good low end. So I always have that in mind. Seems like I'm going in the right direction then, I hope. I don't know if this is the best low end in the world, but I'm glad you say it's decent at least haha Cause I DO think low end is very important. In Cakewalk, I duplicated the Bass and then gave a low pass to one copy and a high pass to the other, thus controlling the volume of low and high independently. And I used a lot of compression on the copy with the lower frequencies, to keep the low end very even to avoid drops or peaks of volume. That was my approach with the bass. And on the pass that has the higher frequencies I added a bit of distortion. I wanted the bass to be very heavy in this song. The master also has a veeeery soft limiter, but not too much, because I like the song to have some dynamic.
  17. Ah, so you are Bapu. I was wondering. You came down as if you were spiritually summoned by DeeringAmps ? Thank you too for watching and the feedback Bapu. Much appreciated.
  18. Weeeell... As for the bass, yes , loud. I wanted the bass to stand out. As for kick... You know I never really think like that ''for this genre it must be like this or that'' But more like what sounds better for which song. In this case I like the sound of that kick but in another song I might decide another sound. But thank you very much for watching and sharing your opinion with such attention, it's always interesting to hear other people's perspective as long as it is constructive. I respect that.

    "Space Farmer"

I get it, but you know what really got my attention and made me go ''WOW!!'' is when the guitar starts playing and your vocals and from there on to end. It really sounds like those awesome hard rock songs from mid/late seventies with catchy melodies and interesting vocals. Many bands nowadays sound so generic when it comes to original rock songs. But you have very good taste. Listening to your ''The Travel Song'' now and it also sounds very good.
  20. Cool singing style. I like it very much.
  21. Good stuff, the chorus makes me smile : )

Duuuuuuuude!!! What an unexpected and nice discovery! This feels like one of those 70s rock classics that people still listen to this day. I love everything about it! Subscribed to you on youtube instantly when the vocals started.
  23. Thanks! Thank you man! Glad you pointed that out. I also don't like to imitate anyone, specially vocals, even though I love the artists we cover very much. Because there is no point to try to duplicate something. I mean, if one wants to listen to something like the original, just go and listen to the original.
  24. Hello everyone! Wanna share the cover I did with my friends of Megadeth's Train Of Consequences.
