Indeed! not an easy one! I didn`t even dare to try to play this on guitar haha. I preffered to go on youtube and look for people who could do it properly, and then I found Shawn McNair and Mark Grocki who are excellent guitar players, and then Jim Ramses for bass. So I sang and mixed this one, and mixing was a challenge, because there is so much going on this song. Thank you for watching and commenting. I`m so glad people appreciate it.

You mean which DAW I used ? I make all my audio productions entirely in bandlab cakewalk. And video in Davinci Resolve. And thank you so much for your kind words, really nice to read it. We all love this song and gave the best we could.

Hello everyone. Me and Anderson the drummer decided this time to do a cover of a song that is not very popular, but one of our favorites. This is the song ''Medusa'' originally by the british band Trapeze. Starts calm and then blasts one of my favorite guitar riffs of all time. Hope you enjoy and any constructive thoughts about the mix are welcome.

I like the song and vocals. About the song awesome! As for the mix, some instruments sound too hard left and hard right, and (maybe) for this reason they kinda sound harsh when listening with headphones. Not the style I have experience though, as I usually mix hard rock and metal, but I also DO set instruments (guitars) hard left and hard right, however if I hear anything that is piercing, I will just adjust it to be something like 90 or 80% right (or left) instead of 100% and that solves the problem and if not, then some EQ. In this mix though I'm not sure it's really because of the hard left/right thing, or some piercing frequency or just a matter of adjusting volume. The more experienced maybe could tell better.

I didn't notice the ''regularly abruptly popping in'' on vocals. And I think it's a very good cover. Enjoyed the listen!

Thanks! And yes, I have plans to do it! A little bit later ?

Reposted this, some compressed vocal harshness were driving me crazy. How do you guys deal with vocals that need a lot of compression such as rock vocals? I think Fs and Ds and Ts a bit harsh on this mix. People talk a lot of de-essing, but what about T, F, D, K sounds? Improved some of this but not as good as I'd like it to be.
