  1. Are there two specific settings I should put it between?
  2. There's two versions of the Cakewalk.ini file. One is in "C:\Program Data\Cakewalk\Sonar 8.5 Producer". The other is in "C:\Users\PCAudioLabs User\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\Sonar 8.5 Producer". Which version do I edit? And, where specifically in the WinCake section would I put the line you're talking about?
  3. Are you sure we're talking about the same version of Sonar? I have Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition 64 Bit.
  4. In which part of the .ini file do I find that information?
  5. Is there a way for me to change Sonar back to displaying the name of a plugin according to its file name? For example, instead of just "Aria Player", it should say "Aria Player VST (x64)". Is there a specific parameter that I need to configure to make this happen? Sonar only started acting this way after trying Cakewalk By Bandlab on Windows 7 and finding that screenreader accessibility was limited, though I'm not sure that has anything to do with what's happening. I uninstalled then reinstalled Sonar 8.5, thinking that had something to do with fixing it, but nothing's changed. What shall I do next? ?
  6. I'm currently reorganizing and reconfiguring plugins in Sonar 8.5, and there's a parameter within the "Plugin Properties" dialog box of each plugin that I'm not sure I understand. The parameter is a checkbox that says, "Serialize Host Access". What does it do? Should this checkbox be checked or unchecked?
  7. I wonder if .als can be converted to .cwp in Sonar.
  8. Would Ableton Live be able to save projects in other formats like .cwp and .cwb?
  9. I wonder if .cwp and .cwb files can be saved with Cakewalk By Bandlab.
  10. I want to try Cakewalk By Bandlab on my music machine, and I have a few important questions. 1. Is it able to run on Windows 7? 2. Can I run it offline? 3. Can it save projects as .cwp, .cwb and so on? 4. Most important of all, is it accesible to screenreaders like JAWS?
  11. I like the sound of that! I wonder, is it accessible to screenreaders like JAWS? Does it work with all operating systems? Or just Windows 10 and later? Will it cost anything? If so, how much?
  12. Now that I'm trying it, I find that Metaplugin is not exactly screenreader friendly.
  13. I'm hoping this particular software's demo version doesn't have crazy limitations like "Bypassing once a minute" or even "a burst of noise every few seconds". That's what I've gotten with demo versions of plugins I've worked with in the past.
  14. I'm trying the Blue Cat's Patchwork Demo version, and it seems it's not as accessible for screenreaders as I thought it would be.
  15. I wonder if there's a VST3 wrapper that won't freeze my machine every time I try to start it.
  16. I just now tried installing that software you mentioned from Kushview, and I have bad news. It freezes my machine to where I have to restart it over and over again! So I ended up uninstalling it.
  17. I know the feeling! I accidentally put a virus on my music machine back in 2016, when I downloaded and installed what I thought was a genuine version of VS Community, a Microsoft Visual Studio program for coding. Boy do I regret doing that, and I'm still mad at myself for that mistake!
  18. Someone mentioned Patchwork by Blue Cat Audio. I wonder, if I were to try this program, would I be able to save any VST3 presets as .fxb so they would be backwards compatible with earlier versions of VST?
  19. NVDA is Non Visual Desktop Access. https://www.nvaccess.org.
  20. I'm not sure how that would work. NVDA used to be able to access that part by navigating with the mouse, where it would make beeps with every little move you make, each beep increasing in tone as you move up or down, and even panning from left to right as the mouse moves from side to side. And of course it would tell you where you are with speech. However, I'm not sure how to make it do that again, as I'm not sure if it has something to do with how my screen looks. I know the resolution can only be between 1024*768 and 1280*768. I've tried changing the screen resolution, but that didn't change anything.
