Is there any particular reason you make things as if I can use a mouse? Have you forgotten that I'm sight challenged and can only use keyboard shortcuts? -

Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit, with 16 gigabytes of RAM. I mainly use the Kontakt 4 Library... The one that comes with the main Kontakt 4 installer, and is on the second, third, fourth, and fifth disks of the set. -

As I don't use a mouse, I would press the "Applications" key and press Enter on "Run As Administrator". Though I've never really done that with Sonar. -

I'm not exactly sure how someone sight challenged like me, who can't write print, would smudge an address. Is that even possible in Braille? -

You say, "The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.". Could you please explain to me what exactly that message means? I'm a little confused on that one! -
Kontakt 4 Crashing In Sonar 8.5 Producer

Yes, version 1.10. Though Kontakt doesn't always crash in Sonar, just every now and then. But what I really wonder is why it happens at the most inopportune moments. -
Hi, it's Annabelle. I just recently moved all my instruments from a spinning hard drive to a solid state drive, and no matter what I do, Kontakt sometimes does this "Error Unhandled Exception" thing in Sonar 8.5. It always did this with a spinning hard drive, but I wonder why it's doing it with a solid state drive as well. Do you know how I could prevent this from happening? It doesn't seem to happen in the standalone version. Why the VST version? Here's a minidump for ya. I hope this helps. There's Always Tomorrow_12052024_171817.zip

I'm trying to adjust assignable controls, but since I don't use a mouse, I want to find a keyboard shortcut to display all synths. I have sometimes up to 20 synth strips, as each MIDI track of a separate instrument is assigned to an instance of a VST. For example, I have 12 instances of Kontakt, 6 instances of Play, 7 instances of StylusRMX, 1 instance of Trilian, and 18 instances of Garritan Jazz And Big Band.

Any way there can be a keyboard shortcut for Sonar to display the channel strips? I know with Caketalking (the accessibility Software built by David Pinto for Sonar), next to the track name, when you use the left and right arrow keys to navigate each track, there are two buttons named "Minimize Strip" and "Maximize Strip". Are those what you're thinking of?

Hi, it's Annabelle. Every time I try to access the Synth Rack in Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition, I seem to get the message, "The prior synth is not on the current page. Please refresh the synth rack.". I do so by pressing F6, and once it refreshes the Synth Rack, the cycle starts all over again! This seems strange, because it especially happens when I have a bunch of synths in one project. It even happens when I only have a single synth instance in a project. Is there a keyboard shortcut to "show all synths"? In other words, all synths would be displayed on the screen, and can be navigated to using the up and down arrow keys and the page up and page down keys. The Home key would be used to go to the top of the Synth Rack, and the end key would be used to go to the bottom of the synth rack. This is very frustrating when a screenreader doesn't always do exactly what you want it to do!

Sonar 8.5 Producer: Display plugins by File Name?
Annabelle replied to Annabelle's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
1. Yes, I did install Cakewalk on the same machine as Sonar. 2. No, Reinstalling Sonar didn't change a thing. 3. If you read post 117, I made a solution by creating two layouts that work, and I can even add plugins to them! -

I don't use a mouse. I can't see. I would press enter on those dots, but it takes me to the previous page. -

Funny you say that, as I'm not only a user of my machine, but I'm the owner and administrator as well. -

I meant to say "FX" in my previous post, but my keyboard has been acting strange in Microsoft Edge. It seems to deliberately miss characters even though I've typed all the right characters. I wonder if it's the latest version of Microsoft Edge that has some kind of bug. Isn't there an "Edit Post" link next to my posts? -

Interestingly enough, this works! Yaaaaaaayyyyyyyy! I've managed to create two layouts, one for FX, and one for SoftSynths. -

Is this within the plugin manager? I can't see what's in that screenshot as I am sight challenged. The only "Reset" button I found was in the "Audio Options" dialog box, but that obviously was probably not the one you were thinking of! -

How would I reset? Is it under the parameter, "Reset Config File"? I did rescan, but nothing changed. -

I tried that, and still nothing's changed. Should I attach the .ini file so you can see it? -

I've written that line between [Markers View} and [Dump Request Macros]. I wrote it as you described. VSTPlugInNameFormat=1 I put two blank lines around that parameter. However, I'm confused, as I tried the plugin scan, and it didn't change anything. I feel like something's missing. Don't I need to put <> or [] around the parameters?
