  1. I haven't tried that yet. Is there a direct link to this plugin? Most important of all, does it have any limitations that I should know about?
  2. Are you referring to the button on each track that says, "Waveform preview"? In Caketalking, it automatically announces that, then says "Don't press this button. It will result in unpredictable results!". I'm not sure what that means exactly. I wish someone could explain. What unpredictable results is this referring to?
  3. I had no idea you were a guy! I've only known girls named Lynn.
  4. I'll have to wait to buy that, as I'm having trouble with my funds right now. I know this sounds crazy, but Social Security hasn't deposited Disability benefit funds for me since November of last year, and I'm trying to get those reestablished again, which will definitely take a while.
  5. I can't get that one to be accessed with JAWS, I've already tried it. By the way, are you the same Lynn Wilson who is the sister of Ann and Nancy Wilson of the band Heart?
  6. I have NVDA, but it doesn't seem to speak any of the parameters in Sonar or any plugins. They all seem to be graphics.
  7. JAWS speaks when icons, buttons and controls are text-based. With graphic-based buttons and controls, like the ones in JUCE-based programs, it's hard to tell what's what, as when you try to assign a familiar "window type", or control type, to an unfamiliar one, the unfamiliar one is usually spoken as "JUCE" followed by an _ and then a series of letters and numbers in the "Window Class" dialog box of JAWS Configuration Manager. Attached is a Microsoft Word document, explaining the names and numbers of the Window Types JAWS recognizes. List of Window Type Codes.doc
  8. I have Convology XT, but it's not exactly screenreader accessible, as it uses a version of JUCE that's not compatible with JAWS.
  9. I have Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition with Caketalking, an accessibility software that works with JAWS (Job Access With Speech), a screenreader for the sight challenged.
  10. I'm actually looking for an alternative convolution plugin. One that like PerfectSpace can load .wav files that you choose by an "Open" dialog. I had a thread about this where several replies were made, but that thread somehow disappeared when I wanted this one merged with it.
  11. What happened to the version of this topic with all the replies?
  12. Every time I use Perfect Space with Sonar 8.5 Producer Edition, I hear crackling in my Scarlet 18I20. Are there any 64-bit plugins that can load .wav files for convolution reverb, without having to rely on photos of the reverb spaces?
  13. Yes I have JAWS running at all times, as it's important to have a screenreader on when you can't see.
  14. Ya wanna know somethin' strange? Someone on a mailing list that I'm subscribed to actually told me that they have had the same thing happen, and they said it's actually JAWS that makes Kontakt and other plugins sometimes crash. So their solution is to unload JAWS from memory when opening the project, then reload it again. That sounds like a pain in the padded rear! However, I'm wondering how a screenreader like JAWS can make VST plugins crash at random moments.
  15. Here's a screenshot of the error I get when these things happen.
  16. Is there any particular reason you make things as if I can use a mouse? Have you forgotten that I'm sight challenged and can only use keyboard shortcuts?
  17. Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit, with 16 gigabytes of RAM. I mainly use the Kontakt 4 Library... The one that comes with the main Kontakt 4 installer, and is on the second, third, fourth, and fifth disks of the set.
  18. As I don't use a mouse, I would press the "Applications" key and press Enter on "Run As Administrator". Though I've never really done that with Sonar.
  19. I'm not exactly sure how someone sight challenged like me, who can't write print, would smudge an address. Is that even possible in Braille?
  20. You say, "The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.". Could you please explain to me what exactly that message means? I'm a little confused on that one!
  21. Yes, version 1.10. Though Kontakt doesn't always crash in Sonar, just every now and then. But what I really wonder is why it happens at the most inopportune moments.
  22. Hi, it's Annabelle. I just recently moved all my instruments from a spinning hard drive to a solid state drive, and no matter what I do, Kontakt sometimes does this "Error Unhandled Exception" thing in Sonar 8.5. It always did this with a spinning hard drive, but I wonder why it's doing it with a solid state drive as well. Do you know how I could prevent this from happening? It doesn't seem to happen in the standalone version. Why the VST version? Here's a minidump for ya. I hope this helps. There's Always Tomorrow_12052024_171817.zip
  23. I'm trying to adjust assignable controls, but since I don't use a mouse, I want to find a keyboard shortcut to display all synths. I have sometimes up to 20 synth strips, as each MIDI track of a separate instrument is assigned to an instance of a VST. For example, I have 12 instances of Kontakt, 6 instances of Play, 7 instances of StylusRMX, 1 instance of Trilian, and 18 instances of Garritan Jazz And Big Band.
  24. F6 is a Caketalking key, which will refresh the screen to display whatever's in view at the moment. In the Synth Rack, F6 is supposed to refresh the Synth Rack to display the first visible strip.
