  1. So I guess it's download everything all over again. Joy.
  2. The UVI website is showing an upgrade price of $299 (vs $599 full retail) for me and I only have VV1. I don't think retailers can sell the upgrade either, so you may be limited to just UVI store discounts. https://www.uvi.net/vintage-vault-3-upgrade-vv.html
  3. Every Humble Bundle is slightly different. Most are Steam keys. Sometimes they are keys at other game stores. Sometimes they are serial numbers or keys that you have to redeem at other stores. Every Humble Bundle offering has a guide on how to redeem that offer and what it entails. They aren't always 32 bit only, it depends on the product. Most of the apps they have offered are slightly older versions of things, but not always. Again every bundle offering is different and specific. It would be incorrect to generalize them. Here's the system requirements guide for this offer: https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048571894 And here are (some) of the redeem instructions for this bundle: https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048734574-Humble-Software-Bundle-3-Ashampoo-SNAP-11-instructions https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048732954-Humble-Software-Bundle-3-Ashampoo-WinOptimizer-18-instructions https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360049494113-Humble-Software-Bundle-3-Ashampoo-Uninstaller-9-instructions https://support.humblebundle.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048733154-Humble-Software-Bundle-3-Ashampoo-PDF-Pro-2-instructions Note: I don't think this offer is all that great, these types of applications are generally weak at best. While I'm a big supporter of Humble Bundle, sometimes their PC software offerings are kind of garbage. Do your homework.
  4. They also have Strobe 2 for $19.99 which may be a deal.
  5. Looking around Guitar Center website it looks like they are selling the shipping/boxed version of UVI Vintage Vault version 1 for $99 https://www.guitarcenter.com/UVI/Vintage-Vault-1397485969193.gc They also have marked down their Synth Legacy to $4.99 https://www.guitarcenter.com/UVI/Synth-Legacy-1401720419094.gc Both are shipped products though and I'm pretty sure US sales only
  6. Honestly the instrument/host part of Unify is not all that interesting to me. This has always been more about PluginGuru presets/content. I only need two hands to count the number of Kontakt instruments I've built for myself, but I have purchased/acquired/use tons of Kontakt instruments. The power/features of the host do determine how good that content can be, so I do have an interest in Unify being powerful, even if I personally don't want to spend a bunch of time building an instrument from scratch.
  7. There wasn't a new Guru file (or an update Guru file) when I downloaded this last night. But the install did add some new presets, so I'm not sure there is a new Guru file for this update. You need to re-download the entire 1.1 Guru content file. There is no small updater and there is new content.
  8. You don't have to subscribe to the Humble Choice in order to buy Humble Bundles. They are two separate products. Scroll down to the bottom of the page (or click the get the bundle button) and select how much you want to pay.
  9. Kind of a bummer they stop offering their bundles (where they discount the bundle based on what you already own) right when the sale starts. They do seem very determined to not discount full Gravity enough for me to just buy it.
  10. Cinemorphx is very nice, but I think I like it more because I have it as a Kontakt Player library. The full Kontakt Sample Logic instruments I have almost always are forgotten since they don't show up in the library browser. Cinematic Guitars has gone on sale in a number of different ways over the years. It certainly will again. APD is owned by the same person/company as Sample Logic, which is why a lot of Sample Logic products show up there with pretty good deals. If you can wait for a sale, one should happen sometime before the end of the year.
  11. I think this is/was just the reminder. The deal ends 11.59 PST 3rd June 2020
  12. No, you haven't been "stuck" at Ultimate. But sales policies change -- they have no legal requirement to offer things as they have in the past.
  13. Use my full BBC SO template. It works with Discover and in fact gives you more articulations, though they don't play "correctly" as part of Spitfire's compatibility thing. So you can exchange things with say teachers/etc. I even stripped it down for just what's in Discover
  14. So 2.0.5 doesn't' fix the VST3 hang on project load for CbB. But I couldn't' make it happen in Cubase or REAPER, it's possible it is just a CbB thing. Breaking it in the debugger to see what's hanging it looks like Scalar is calling into a DLL that it installed in your Windows system directory, called Essentia.dll that is hanging on the reload. It appears to be based on this Open Source Project https://github.com/MTG/essentia But that's kind of odd since it's licensed GPL (not LGPL). And Scalar doesn't mention they got a commercial license from Universitat Pompeu Fabra https://essentia.upf.edu/licensing_information.html Of course I don't like they installed something into my Windows System directory either. Because they were too lazy to dynamically load the DLL from their own directory.
  15. I've grown weary of using too many different DAWs. Right now CbB starts faster than Cubase for me, so it's mostly winning. But I couldn't reproduce this in Cubase 10.5.
  16. Does the same thing here (Scalar 2.0.4). Guess that means the VST3 version is to be avoided for now.
  17. What's new here is that it's no longer a Kontakt Player instrument. I don't see anyway to update my Kontakt Player version, if there is even any updates at all. It is pretty nice though, but a bit old at this point.
  18. I gave up on the complete my bundle thing. Early on their website offered pricing reflecting what you owned, but they stopped that very fast or something (or maybe it was never there and I was just confused). I was missing this and Carbon, so I picked it up. But compared to their V2 instruments with MIDI drag out these guys aren't so useful. They need a V2 upgrade.
  19. I've yet to see anything to confirm if this is an intro deal or just the normal pricing. And I've looked.
  20. While this is less than I paid for Spectralayers Pro 6 by itself, I have to warn you I've been very disappointed in Spectralyers Pro 6. I'd say even with this offer it is overpriced.
  21. It's hard. When I purged almost all those 32bit plugins and most of the freeware I never used I was sure it was the end of the world. Seriously though, I've been playing this plugin collecting game for a very long long long time. I have no children. I drive the same car I bought new in 2001. I work at home. And I love software. Especially large bundles. My obsession with completing things is my undoing. Wave's Mercury (578 plugins), Melda Complete, NI Ultimate, Eventide Anthology etc and the plugin count goes up pretty fast. But ask me what I really use and the answer is a lot smaller.
  22. Turns out Cubase/Stienberg only support dragging audio out using the VST-XML format. So anything that doesn't support that can't be a drag target for audio. And it's by design. I found links to a utility app someone wrote that you could drop into and then drag back from in the right format, but it can't be downloaded anymore (the host they were using is out of business). http://vstxmltranslator.blogspot.com/ As a result the only way EzBass will work in Cubase is if they modify their plugin to accept these VST-XML files as drag sources. I doubt Toontrack would be willing to do that though. Oh well it works in CbB. ?
  23. Installed OK for me. Seems to run, but that's not a real test. New plugin report is interesting, I like how it shows all the plugin version numbers (that the plugins are reporting). I guess I have an "Other Plug-in". LOL.
  24. I would never run any audio app as Administrator. Ever. And you shouldn't either. And this is dragging INSIDE Cubase, so no system rights are involved -- from a Cubase track to a Cubase hosted plugin. I can drop audio from Windows Explorer into Cubase just fine. But when you try and drop audio from a track inside Cubase into Windows Explorer you don't get a wav file. Instead you get a text file. Here's an example: I'm not sure if there is some sort of setting in Cubase perhaps that would make it do a more normal file drag and drop? As a result of this, I don't think you can drag audio from a Cubase track into EzBass. EzBass I guess could add a handler for Cubase's crazy text file drop (which looks to be some sort of VST related thing maybe).
  25. I can't drag audio from a track in Cubase into EzBass. I can drag MIDI though. If I drag the audio from a Windows Explorer into Cubase I can drop it. But I can't take a Cubase audio blob and drop that. Both kinds of dragging from a track work in Cakewalk By Bandlab the current early access release. I only have EzBass 1.0.2, nothing newer is shown in the Toontrack manager for me.
