PJH 112 Posted November 2, 2022 I've known David Myers for many years and never knew that he played piano. He mentioned one day that he'd like to record one of his original tracks and asked if I'd produce it. I was completely blown away by his composition and playing. This has been a most enjoyable project and I hope there'll be more like this from him. As usual, we filmed the sessions...

Bajan Blue 1,344 Posted November 2, 2022 Good track - some very nice playing, especially the lead guitar. Love that lead break at around 4 mins. What camera do you use for the video, which is very good indeed Nigel
DaveT2 50 Posted November 2, 2022 Very nice. Guitar tones reminded me of Trans Siberian Orchestra. (compliment). Thanks for sharing.

MichaelJohn 33 Posted November 2, 2022 yes! Uplifting instrumental, I could listen to more like this. Everyone at pro level here. The arrangement progresses steady and smooth, just right, up to that nice key change. Guitar, bass, and drums masters at work! What's great about the video is using several cameras to stay on the music focus.
AndyB01 495 Posted November 3, 2022 Great stuff Peter - thoroughly enjoyed that. 👏👏👏 Andy
PJH 112 Posted November 3, 2022 Thanks so much for the comments guys! To answer your question Nigel, I have three Sony HD video cameras which I place around the studio when I know I'm going to record various instruments. To be perfectly honest, I don't spend as much time as should with the camera placement etc as I'm more concerned with the actual performances of the recordings. If only I had another pair of hands to be a kind of "roving" camera that would be great. It is nice to have three views of each instrument though! Cheers! DeeringAmps 2,008 Posted November 12, 2022 (edited) As always Peter top shelf in every a (doh) way! 👍's 👏 t one question, I see Larry "whack" those cymbals, but I don't "hear" it. Is my top end that compromised? Hear the snare and toms just fine... Edited November 15, 2022 by DeeringAmps

antler 1,679 Posted November 13, 2022 Very nice! I admit - I was looking at Cakewalk in the background so got a vague idea as to when the big sections were coming up 😁 Excellent playing and production all round!
