Instrument definition mappings - Losing connection

Hi Cakewalk Support

I have a few synths, some on USB direct connection, some connected via the excellent ESI 16x16 interface over MIDI. I have INS files setup for many of them, but if I don't wish to power up some for certain sessions (as they'll not be needed), the INS mappings appear to "move" (i.e are not locked to the hardware/ports). Could this be fixed so that the INS file is directly and consistently mapped to a port (my ports don't change, only what I choose to power up over USB sometimes)

example

USB MIDI - Korg MicroX - Mapped to USB Korg Micro-X sound

USB MIDI - Modal Craftsynth 2.0- mapped to USB port Modal Craftsynth 2.0 (and my own custom INS file)

etc etc (add another 5 or 6 devices)

If I power off one of the devices in the list, the list sometimes "shifts" and what was previously mapped to say my Roland JP-08, gets mapped to the Modal

A pain, as I have to then go in to prefs and remap

Thanks for any help/updates
