When making stems for music libraries it's very handy to use track folders, but they often want sub-catergories i.e. Guitars as the main stem but also Rhythm and Lead separately. Nested sub folders would make this very simple.

+1 to this.

Quite often I want to group parts of a song into track folders, especially if it's a particularly long one. This helps to keep the visible track view uncluttered and focused on the parts I'm currently working on.

But then I'd also want to group things like guitars, vocals etc into their own folders.

Additionally, for synths that have multiple outputs I want to put the MIDI/Audio track together in a folder - at least until instrument tracks support multiple out synths ;)

We have been asking for this for a long time. Not long after folders were introduced as a new feature people started asking for nested folders.

Wow that's been a really long time then, I was using track folders for 10yrs in 8.5 ..not quite sure when they were introduced.

Wow. Something from a year ago that seems to be desired. Just ran into this issue and wished I could nest a folder inside a folder. Please and thank you, Bakers.

+1 for this. Another cool feature that would be nice to see integrated would be track stacks like you see in Logic. So essentially a track folder that doubles as an Aux  track

In track view, I gather all my drum kit piece tracks into a folder I can close, saving a ton of screen real estate. Same for Elec. gtrs, acoustic gtrs, vocals, etc. Makes it so much easier to focus work on what I want, tucking all that other stuff away until I need it. Would be incredibly nice for workflow if we could link the state of group folders in track view to be reflected in the console view.  As it it is, you potentially have to horizontal scroll for miles.... back and forth between things.

It would be nice too if you could use the folder as a sort of bus track. REAPER does that.

The closest way to achieve this is to send the contents of a folder to a Bus with : Tracks - Selected Track Output - then select the Bus of your choice
