Musicianaire 13 Posted December 27, 2018 Will it work like it should, or do I need to download and install manually like the past number of times?

I don't update from within BA anynore. I just download and install it manually (with BA exited of course)

Like you, I had to install the last few manually, but this one worked straight from within the App
Tim Waterfield 3 Posted December 27, 2018 I had to install manually last time and worked perfectly this time upgrading from Bandlab Assistant.

HMusikk 1 Posted December 28, 2018 I had to install it manually...
Skyline_UK 58 Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) Doesn't work for me. ☹️ What's the 'manual' method? Edited December 28, 2018 by Skyline_UK
HMusikk 1 Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) Download the installation file from here: https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk Edited December 28, 2018 by HMusikk
Skyline_UK 58 Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) Many thanks. All ok. Before installing it said the previous duff version was running and needed cancelling, so clicking on the 'X' to close a running instance of Assistant obviously doesn't actually work. Just install the Assistent again. I did it yesterday because of the same error as you got.

Clicking the 'X' in the upper right closes the UI but the program continues to run. To shutdown BA, click the gear in the upper left to open Settings then click the Quit button.
