those exponential audio (izotope) reverbs are great - I paid much more than that for them - highly recommended 👍

Even with the stupid 1 seat authorization on Phoenixverb, that still is a great price.

hmm...do I need to buy a 3rd seat?

Haha! I don't remember the advanced version EVER going on sale for anything reasonable.

If you have NIMBUS .. why would you need phoenix and/or r2?

That's like saying "If you have a Jelly Donut, why would you need a Chocolate one?"

I've bought just about everything Izotope but am waiting for Vocal Synth 2. @cclarry, you're the master. What's the best price you can recall seeing for Vocal Synth 2? It doesn't seem to get discounted as deeply as other Izotope effects.

The best thing to do is wait for another Music Production Suite upgrade sale...and get a bevy of goodies for the price of Vocalsynth alone...

Nimbus is basically Phoenix with more features.  You don't need Phoenix for sound/feature reasons.

You would have to demo R2 to see if you need it.  The way I look at them is R2 and R4 are color reverbs like Lexicon.  Not extreme color but you can hear more character to it

phoenix/nimbus is more transparent sounding.  And has really clean trails.

I'm not sure everyone feels like they need both, but I think together they cover all the basic reverb needs, I only look elsewhere when I want more obvious and effect like verb.
