Posted (edited)

(c) 2020 BJZ

Ken (Zargg) Nilsen - Vocals, Guitar
James (Jyemz) Griffiths - Guitar
Ed (Bapu) Kocol - Bass
Hugo Ribeiro - Drums
Daryl (daryl1968) Greenway - Piano
Lasse (Leizer) Williamsson - Orchestra

1st verse:
Lost in a dream of yester years
My life is a mirage to me
So much heartache, so many tears
Nothing was how I wanted it to be

Pre Chorus:
Nothing is further from the truth
Than everything I left behind me

Chorus:
With 2020 Hindsight I see what I should've done
Just a little more work and it would've been more fun
The days ahead forever seemed dark as midnight
That's what I've learned from my 2020 hindsight

2nd Verse:
I can never go back to the past
And change the mistakes I've made
I'll start a new future to last
One that will not rust or fade

Repeat Chorus

Solo

Repeat Chorus x 2

Some nice playing on this, mix is dense but things cut through OK.

I like this Baps - as Wookie said the mix is pretty dense but most things cut through

<character flaw>
When I see a 5 minute track I just can't help myself, I put on my "producer's" hat, and start planning my edits.
</character flaw>
But I have to say by the end of the track I'd pitched the hat and just listened.
Well done mates!
Print it.

Great job guys! Love the rhythm section.  Very tight. Nice solo too. Everything was good!

Thanks for letting me be a part of this song and sorry if I were a bit slow in the progress. Love the 7/8 chorus, dynamics and variation, doesn't feel like a 5:36 song. Great work all around!

I enjoyed the song - especially the lyrics. Yeah, as others mentioned, those drums are booming.

That guitar solo was quite nice.

Yes Wookie, I've been told I'm dense before.

Thanks for the listen.

Nice lil quickie.  Jyemz is always so tasteful.  Love you guys, as always. :D:D

Thanks for the listen and comment David. I get that 5:36 is a lil quickie to those that do full on orchestral length pieces. 😉

Hi Ed,

Great track, I love the way it builds to each chorus which is worth waiting for - an expansive release of energy and vocal prowess.

Lots of light and shade and great lyrics.

Thanks for sharing.

Good job!

regards

paul
