I had a MIDI file created by another application and opened it with Cakewalk. The notes in the MIDI were played live on a digital piano, so they all have different velocities. Then I saved the file as cwp and edited it in Cakewalk, taking care of the dynamics. After saving the file back to MIDI, all velocities became reset to 127, which is completely no good. How to convert my cwp file to MIDI without losing velocities?

I am trying the Cakewalk FX Velocity "tool" to apply modifiactions to midi note velocities, as described here: https://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X2&language=3&help=EditingMIDI.57.html So I select some midi notes as described here: To change note velocities 1. Select the data to be affected. (I am using the I bar - Select button) The notes change colour to show they have been selected, I apply the FX and it applies it to ALL the midi notes from the very start to the very end of the project. I have tried a few settings trying to limit the selection window but no matter what I try, the FX does them all. How do I limit the process to just he selected notes? I use midi keyboard, and the certain notes are just louder than others. My keys are totally fine (cause for example when I use PianoMarvel the velocity works perfectly ). I also had this problem with FL Studio but there I found the velocity adjustor, and I adjusted it horizontally (initially it was diagonally), so that my keys would sound with the same volume, but the volume wouldn't change no matter how hard I pressed. So my question is: can I do the same with Cakewalk as I did with Fl? Or even better, can I make my keys sound with the same volume but with the keeping of the function"when I press harder it's louder"? ( if I didn't make myself clear please tell me to give more details)
