  1. 4 comp's & 3 Eq's ??? Am I reading that right or are you describing separate scenarios ?
  2. As long as it's listed in the midi devices & selected as active then you can choose all external inputs and it should work. Alternatively you can put it on a separate track if you want more control of it, if you change your inputs accordingly. Sometimes I add CC after the initial take. BTW: I have found I can't use the NanoKontrol editor & cakewalk at the same time. I am not sure if there is a way around that.
  3. On a vocal track I am using EQ, Reverb & Compression. What is the best order to place them in ?
  4. But if you use the Cakewalk arp you can bounce to clip that will turn into midi that you can edit. But I don't remember much about Z3ta so I can't say how they compare.
  5. Quartet ? There are only three in the picture who (or what) is the fourth member ?
  6. I thought I made this up - but the more I think about it, I may have seen it somewhere (Sad, I am actually thinking about it) The price of Kleenex just went up... due to congestion pricing.
  7. Event list is still extremely useful at times, I don't personally feel it needs any changes. But as far as the Ins file. It is worth making your own if you have to. I would suggest finding a synth close to yours that can make the changes but may not have the correct names. For one thing there is a patch browser that allows you to search for sounds by name that is very handy if you have an Ins for your device. Ins is a great feature for external gear & it is worth putting the time in. Everything will move easier & smoother when you can just select from the list.
  8. Not sure but can't you load different instances of TTS for that.
  9. Something I realized recently about the nanoKONTROL is that since you can set it to send notes it is possible to program the transport controls to send notes & set the Key bindings to notes. I use the the cycle button as the shift key & have set up each of the transport keys to control transport/record buttons to act in the ways I want. With this I can also use the sliders & adjacent buttons to send CC messages for other purposes at the same time.
  10. But nobody quoted the "Better Bones" post. I guess nobody wanted to touch that one.
  11. Nobody told me - all I had to do was take a stroll down the pet food aisle.
  12. Thanks to all commenters I seem to have things working now. I was uninstalling the driver but it seems that it just kept putting itself back again without me realizing it. Once I not only uninstalled it but also checked the box to delete it, the CC mode worked. So it seems, as suggested, the Korg driver does not work for me. For those who are interested, I was able to to do a test on the transport where I changed a button to send a note & was able to set key bindings to a note. In this way it looks like I can program the transport to act a bit like a control surface. I used the cycle button as the shift note.
  13. Thanks but I've tried that, still no luck. My gut feeing is that something went wrong with some internal windows setting. I will live. I went for decades without it.
  14. I have never seen that & I've been using the program for 30 years, Great Thank you.
  15. Here's an idea. Never leave a file without first making a Bundles backup on another drive first. It has saved me many times.
  16. True, but I want to see the brief comment/description of the template before I open it up.
  17. "Out of curiosity, did you try adding the text comments to an instrument definition?" I don't think that is possible. However if you have favorite sounds you can create track templates with those sounds. (at least for midi tracks) Since Windows allows fairly long file names you can make your own description there. I group my track templates in folders by the kind of instrument it is. Piano, bass etc... I use external sounds. I have no idea how all this works for plug in sounds.
  18. The text is a reminder that is a part of the midi clip that I drag into the file, yes. The idea is to have this standard clip ready to go when I need it & also to have specific midi clips to work with & named for specific sounds. Those sounds are often in my track templates group. It works for me.
  19. I would prefer that these things were part of the controls next to reverb & chorus so they could all be part of a track template & would be easier to play with but: My solution looks like this __CC Track.mid This is a snip of my event list. Since these events can't be a part of the track template I drag this bit off to a midi directory for this purpose. I name them to match the track template and pair them up when I want that sound. I insert this on the track & record as sound on sound so it does not erase the data. File above is for anyone who is interested.
  20. The reason I did it was for the windows arrangement options. Of course the amount of time I've wasted on this is far more than I saved with that.
  21. abacab: Too late I'm already into 11 now. Yes I'm guessing that is the problem. It may never work on 11 again. I am so tired of these tech problems, I just want to make music. (BTW, I did check & do have the latest driver.)
  22. Thanks but I do have the most recent one. (will double check again to make sure I have not missed something though)
  23. Decided to try the NanoKnotrol2 again but it had other ideas. It works on an older machine but does not seem to want to work with my Win 11 machine. Any Ideas ? It did at one time work with Win 11 - really it did. (Just want to use for CC)
