Walking the Cake

I just installed Cakewalk by BandLab and tried to open a Sonar project from many years back, and lo and behold, it worked, albeit without the plugins. It was fun to listen to my old song. Feel like a newbie though, so a question: One of the guitar tracks doesn't have the volume, pan or gain controls like the other tracks. I can't figure out why or how to get them there. Can anyone give me a clue?
