     plugins 64bit public beta 1

July 5, 2021 by Variety Of Life 7 Comments

Until around mid July you can grab here the VoS plugin 64bit public beta package. Included are epicVerb, BaxterEQ, preFIX, NastyDLAmkII, NastyVCS and DensityMkIII in both 32 and 64 bit, VST 2 and 3 for Windows PC.

Please be careful using them since they are beta. Eventually they might crash, generate loud noises and things like that. Also do not use them in real productions since parameters and settings might change until release and break compatibility.

To report issues just create a comment right to this post and please include detailed information about the issue, which plugin is actually affected and in which host and version.

Please respect the license agreement provided within the package and do not redistribute but just share the download link as follows:

  2. TAL-NoiseMaker

TAL-NoiseMaker is an improved version of TAL-Elek7ro and has a completely new synth engine and a lot of improvements in sound and usability. The synth also includes a small effect section with a reverb, chorus and a simple bit crusher effect.
A display shows the knob and slider values. This allows more control over the synth. A ringmodulator and a syncable triangle are also part of this synth. TAL-NoiseMaker includes new filter types as the self resonating 6dB low pass and a notch filter. Its improved amplitude ADSR is very suitable for slow pads as for really fast envelopes. 128 factory presets included, 80 made by Frank "Xenox" Neumann / Particular - Sound

Indie Voices is good but maybe you need more powerful heys.

Should it be freeware? Well, some people have to pay bills and even if this is just a very small plugin, I'm sure it was work to record the shouts and to bring it into VST... so I'm ok with that little price here

I'm with you. It's dirt cheap so why not grab both if it's useful.

It should be pretty obvious that, if you are only going to have ONE sampler,
that KONTAKT full should be it!  Most develops write for the full version
of Kontakt, so it behooves you to have it!  Even for just the FREE content
available, let alone the better, paid, libraries!

As a sampler it got to the point that I just couldn't avoid it anymore. Gigasampler died.  VSampler died. Independence is a zombie. Mach5 isn't on anyone's radar anymore.  Halion isn't the contender it use to be.  Ex24 and SampleOne are tied to other DAW'S.  Uvi and SampleTank have great sound libraries  but almost zero third party support....andso on.  Kontakt is the Coca Cola of samplers with no real Pepsi option out there.  Only a few RC Colas. They have a near monopoly on party support.

I'm only using Kontakt if somehow I get Komplete.

Similar discounts can be had for Komplete also. It goes on %50 off usually in the summer. Upgrading from Kontakt gets you an even bigger discount than free player cross grade. Some sites let you use coupon codes or loyalty points for extra discounts. I wound up getting the Komplete upgrade from Kontakt for like $170. Tons of free stuff for Reaktor too.

Free as long as you have a 400 USD piece of software.

$199 a least twice a year. Plus if you download any free player compatible instruments (like NI's  YANGQIN Holiday freebie out now) you get an even deeper discount.  It's a no-brainier value when you consider It's HUGE library and the RIDICULOUS!!!! amount of freebie for it...Just saying.

Isn't PS Free Orchestra a one off whilst this seems more like Labs - intermittent releases of individual instruments?

It is now. It started off much like Labs (early Labs were Kontakt) or the Klang series., with new instruments added periodically They consolidated into one bank recently (like a year or so ago).

  8. Full MIDI 2.0 specifications from the MMA

PRESS RELEASE: Back in 1983, musical instrument companies that competed fiercely against one another nonetheless banded together to create a visionary specification—MIDI 1.0, the first universal Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Nearly four decades on, it’s clear that MIDI was crafted so well that it has remained viable and relevant. Its ability to join computers, music, and the arts has become an essential part of live performance, recording, smartphones, and even stage lighting.

Now, MIDI 2.0 takes the specification even further, while retaining backward compatibility with the MIDI 1.0 gear and software already in use. Here’s why MIDI 2.0 is the biggest advance in music technology in decades.
