I've not yet watched the video through, but could this the sampler/loop slicer that Cakewalk has been missing all these years?
I think Beatscape and DropZone had real potential. Would have been nice to see them really get fleshed out.
As for Momentum there's no Rex support as of yet, No slicing by transients ( my preferred method) Gui text is very small and not resizable and a few other key features seem to be absent. This the 1st iteration so maybe things will improve in the near future.

Amazing list, but clearly missing a few well known top tier free options
Fxpansion DCAM Free Comp
Jamstix - free version
come to mind as examples, but way more stuff on that list that I didn't know about.
Not the most comprehensive list but it's well laid out and organized. Many staples with a few lesser known gems as well. A nice starting point for newbies or those vets looking to expand their arsenal.

@Lemar Sain the plugin crashes are in the plugin code and not related at all to Cakewalk so there is nothing we can do to solve it from our end. Please contact the manufacturer of the plugins for support with those crashes. You can send them the crash dump files.
The other issue is also unlikely to be related to Cakewalk. Did you try restarting Cakewalk and playing again - do you still get the silent spots? Try bypassing your plugins and see if it still happens. Is this a MIDI project? If so try raising the MIDI playback buffer size to 50 msec (Prepare Using: in settings | MIDI | Playback and recording)The 50 msec buffer fixed the audio gaps. Must have gotten reset somehow. Thanks

Getting a crash when opening a project with AIR Talkbox plugin. Crash message attached,
dmp file here
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1WqKVhh4mdr5kPb8SRHQk7_x0QiT2vYEH
Also getting strange gaps in audio with ASIO driver. In loop mode the gaps occur in the same spots. ASIO vs WDM examples attached. VStudio 100 audio interface used.
Plus I can't seem to open plugin properties unless in Admin mode.

On the old forum AdamGrossmanLG converted the free Grooves from Mars midi to Cakewalk groove templates. The original download file is gone. I was hoping someone here may still have a copy and wouldn't mind sharing it .
Original post below.
http://forum.cakewalk.com/Free-Download-Groove-Quantize-Templates-m3790204.aspx
QuoteFree Download! - Groove Quantize Templates
Recently "Samples From Mars" released groove templates from 25 legendary drum machines. See full description here:
https://samplesfrommars.c...I6ICJjVkpGbjUifQ%3D%3D
Importing them into Sonar's Groove Quantize Menus are a real pain in the *****. Each one has to be done manually. The steps I took are as follows:
1. Ensured timecode is 960 Ticks Per Quarter Note
2. Import each and every .MID file into its own track
3. Copy each .MID clip into the Groove Quanitze feature using the clipboard function
4. Defined each groove into drum machine files
I figured it would be useful for the group, so here you are. Just unzip and drop these files in your 'Cakewalk Core\Groove Quantize Files' directory and restart Sonar.

I hope you guys enjoy!!

Except that that's not all. You're also trying to add value to your Melda account. Just say it loud and clear right from the beginning, and I have no problem with it.
You're making the assumption that the code is attached to my account.(it is this time.) But I have also shared the original code that helped me out. But that being said. I've edited the original post. In the end we're all here for the deals right? For the discounts and freebies etc. Most new customers aren't even aware that these codes exist. So if my code, your code or anybodies code can help somebody out, It's all good right? If transparency is paramount though I'll try to be more upfront, not trying to make waves.

It's common courtesy to disclose that there's personal gain in handing out these codes, as you receive 10% of the price back in credits. It's common courtesy because first of all because posting referral codes has the potential to turn into advertising spam (you profit from the activity, but the forum doesn't), and because someone might prefer to give those credits to a person they know. When you just propagate the code without disclosing that it's actually your personal referral code that earns you credits that can be used to purchase Melda products, those who are not yet Melda customers - i.e. the ones who can use your code - will think it's just a coupon.
I kinda see your point. Except for the it doesn't help the forum part, as the 20% discount is legit and would help any new costumer. The code I used as new customer was some random code on twitter. Which bothered me none as it did provide said discount, which was great for me as well as the original poster. As far as spam, I'm not the original poster and am just trying to add value to current deal. But in the future to avoid issues I will add a disclaimer of sorts. So no problem. 👍

I've picked up several of their products. Very nice ambient sounds and textures. Also some nice bread and butter sounds too. Very cinematic sound over all. If you can catch them, the sales prices (like this one) are ridiculous!...but VERY worth it.

Small indie developer with some pretty good plugs. Seems like a really cool guy too. I've been grabbing a plug or 2 here and there when they go on sale. If just to support his efforts.

Eeeeeeeverybody is going subscription nowadays. Loopcloud just went sub based Monday. Even companies with limited content are trying to jump on the bandwagon. Not a fan.

These one year upgrade cycles are almost as bad as subscriptions.
