    Hi

We’re partnering with Mastering.com to bring you 3-days of live mixing and mastering featuring Mastering The Mix plugins.

You’ll learn how to identify the biggest issues in your mix and fix them at the source.

It’s called the Fix-The-Mix Challenge and it’s completely free and virtual — all you have to do is register by clicking the link below. Even if you can’t attend live, replays will be sent out to all those who register.

Starts Tuesday, April 23rd, at 1 pm Eastern.

    Register Here (Free Virtual Event)

P.S. All event attendees will receive our plugin LEVELS free.

It's a literal shredder though. I wouldn't know what to do with a sampled shredder. I believe it's more of an April's fool kind of gift than something useful.

It is...but I think I found a use case for it. Film, video games and lo-fi or industrial productions. Think more sound effect than instrument

They're saying it's a Native Access download but I'm not seeing seeing that option. Just "add library".

Refresh Native Access after you've added the serial to add library window. It should show up in new section. Download from there or from library available list.

    AUDIOBRO SILVER

    Free inspiration… for free!

A free and growing library offering five master instruments and a wide collection of Kontakt/NKS presets.

    What is SILVER?

SILVER is a free, creative, growing collection of sounds. It started off as a deeply-sampled tongue drum, but we kept adding more and more diverse sounds to the library until we could create entire tracks with just this free tool. Listen to the demos for a few examples of what is possible.

Silver is SIMPLE, DIVERSE, and FUN! It’s quick to load and packed with presets to get you started. It runs inside the free Kontakt Player and is NKS-compatible.

    The instruments (so far):

    1. Silver Tongue – a multi-dynamic tongue drum played with hands, soft mallets, and metal mallets. It includes Round Robin, unmuted and muted, isolated tongue tines as well a controllable resonance (“Reso”)
    2. Bowls – multi-dynamic hand-played bowls with Round Robin, slaps, mutes and semi-mutes
    3. Pads – Guitar Suspense, Slow Guitar Suspense, Strings Harmonics, Tongue Bells, Far Bells, Analog Wide, Analog Simple, Analog Zap
    4. Basses – Attack Bass, Attack Bass Monophonic, Simple Bass, Simple Bass Monophonic
    5. Electronic Drum Kit – A collection of General MIDI drums with various snares, kicks, rims, claps, and all the other regulars: hats, toms, crashes, tambourine, etc.

SILVER is a “living library” and we will be updating with more instruments and samples as time goes by.

  6. I've come the the conclusion that the name Next represents the next step up, if you're looking to step up from Bandlab's online or mobile DAWs. For some I imagine jumping from the online/mobile stuff to CbB or Sonar would be a huge jump. Next kinda fills the position that Cakewalk Home Studio did from Guitar Studio back in the day.

It has is handy if you like to audition midi files without more clicks to open up a VST.

A new GM synth shouldn't be too tall of an order for a future Sonar update. In fact the synth engine used to preview midi in Bandlab assistant (before they removed it ) wasn't half bad.  Side note, I had hoped Loopcloud would add something like that to preview midi too.

    This.

If you can't manage to scrimp and save to put +/- $100 together, you might want to rethink your priorities.

In somebodies defense, sometime you just spent a huge whop on the PC/Laptop and a set of decent speakers and you think maybe I should give this music thing a try now that I have a decent computer setup. You know, give it a go before I invest even more money on specialized gear and peripherals. Just saying.

I don't think there were any last year. (Previously yes.) Any reason to think there are this year?

Didn't they do a limited time re-do for Ostinato Brass, Strings and Woodwinds? For those who missed it in previous years (you could only choose one though).

    Anyways, it’s Kontakt (Player) 7.
I guess that version doesn’t require devs to pay NI much. That’s why we’re seeing more and more free Kontakt Player libs.

I've thought this to myself for a while now. Way more free options lately for Kontakt Player 7 than any other version before.

In practice, I don't see much traction in those happening simply because the page has so little information on the plugins if any. Even the screenshots for the plugins are the same for all of them.

I felt the same at 1st but the KVR link is really helpful in that regard.
