It sounds like you are saying JRR sold the same serial number twice.  If so, shame on them.   Once sold it was yours and should not have been sold to someone else, the passage of time is irrelevant.

it wasn't JJRshop , jrrshop ask for keys to be reddemed , the distributor handles this

Abbey Road Chambers and TG Mastering Chain for about $26 is fairly mad.

It is almost as though they're trying to hurt PA's current sale...

CPU hit is the only problem here , the mastering console is a beauty !!

  3. True story : i bougth some plugins at JJr shop (the famous soundradix radical bundle) but forgot to authorise it since the only thing i used was the surfer eq that i go free from focusrite ,  one year past and since i didn't found the need to use the bundle (i had the PI plugin also that i suppoosed to sell to bring some money back for the bundle ) i decided to resell it so , since it was not authorised i said cool no hassle : but the licence was used !!!

Go tell the brand "ok i'm trying to sell a plugin i bought one year ago that i never used and never authorised that is apparently authorised now  lol !!

I finally made it but yep i have stuiff i still didn't installed ....

I can understand that, a few other things with Acustica's technology besides the cpu hit.

I'm also really like Vertigo's VSC-3 the more I use it. I'll be picking that up at some point for sure.

Yep in facts cheap stuff , ain't that good for methodolgy sometimes , too many times we buy stuff based on their cheapness or deal we have , if everything was at 150 $ and up i can assure you that we would be really more peaky and we be choosing our stuff way more carefully .... there's a lot of stuff i would n't have bougth if i had  Arousor and VSC 3 since a long time ...

Tim Petherick's for N4 for one, I demoed both few years ago & bought Tim's. Can't remember the differences but I know price was a factor, Tims was £25.00. Tight low end & sheen. It doesn't remind me of either Air or ProQ.

N4 : no go here for now , the cpu hit of acustica make me choose their product based on how much i might need instances in a typical session .... i will reconsider when i get me a 6 core comp for both laptop and desktop

Still testing , this EQ is just superb :!! i had my eye on the comp but this eq is really somthing on its own ...

  6. Ok grem don t try it !!! Stay away ...

fyuuuk i literraly tried every eq , and you know i have a lot , on my 808 beat , the one on my arturia video , boosted 2 db at 240 , cut one db at 315 , 2 db boost air , increased the input lowered the output to drive the harmonics : wtf , none of my eq is able to give that ptone , precision , Def ect .... it like listening to waky phased stuff and all of sudden , all linear phase with the eq ... the bx 2098 was great also but not at all the same depth ...

Thanks, Zo, for your all your work to make our buy decisions easier ;)

I wonder what was going in your studio during preparing the video? :)

BTW, manual source option from VCA-65 is great to use with automation ;)

Thks , ahahah i was afraid somebody ask about what was going on lol

yep the VCA 65 goodie is great , but when i talked with the dev , porductut manager , i pointed out the fact that to tweak the compression uring this , we will need a Hold option (instead of having to use automation for exemple) , he tooks it seriously , so maybe next updates ;)

    Hi Zo

Thanks for this, great instructive video

    Cheers

You're welcome , the goal was just to reveal the overwal color and behaviors of the packs , sure people have to try those so the otpions make them versatyle for any type of use ....

  9. Here's my take on those for those that wanna really hear and appreciate their sonic print :

     1) 1176 : Tweak and fun on 808 based beat , where i show several type of compressions , the sidechain and how to use it as a color box without compression for saturation purposes thks to the GR limiter !

    2) Sta : Compression fun on the 808 beat as well as advanced sidechain tweak !

    3) The 65 : fun on the 808 beat , Glue master party !! punch and then we use it on boom bap beat where i show you the ice on the cake on this one , its ability to be driven hard thks to the limiter saturation !!

    4) Conclusions

I have the 3 Preamps and they are quite nice...

The $99 is an upgrade price apparently, because it showed

at $199 until I logged in

Larry , are the preamp actually support mouse scrolling ? The comps do so that s why i m asking this was a deal breaker at launch if i recall well...

And that's just how I describe the VSC2!  (No way am I going to demo the vsc3, I can't afford it!)

Smart move be sure to not try it , i did that mistake !!!

Not surprising. There are a lot more hidden gems in that IK FX rack.

True , but for real , the vsc 3 is just hard to beat , so fast to tweak and sound right at any setting ... crazy ...

I'm not sure I understand your point - we will be surprised which compressors are as good as VSC3?  If so, which do you like?

Ahah first i was saying that this comp is a beast , and as usual it forces me to rediscover my compressors ...i fired a lot of them and one that i alwayz loved and considered one of their best release is the ik opto comp !

spl iron is there too ( more colored)  as well as the alpha comp ...
