  1. I have the symphobia stuff and i can say that those are just pure production ready material beauties , i don t regrets any $ spent on those .... giving that the essentials content are taken from those.  I woul'say : exellent bang for the buck for any regular music producer , but if you re into orchestration , big package is the way to go ....

Thanks for your kind words, Zo (as always). Yes, I have a fall for those classic synths; after all, many of my favorite pieces of music were made with them in the past few decades ☺️. And I was just kidding about regrets (well... more or less). I have the Arturia SEM and I like it a lot but I'll probably get this one also since it has some additional features (like the unison mode f.i.) and the intro price, IMO, seems reasonable.

Also you can use your vaucher to lower the price ;)

I wondered the same thing.  Take 10 minutes to watch the new video demo and I think you will find the tweaking features for the three modules to be different.   You will have to determine if the changes are good or bad.

I opened a project that I was trying to get Satch1 to fix a real kick I didn't love.  Satch1 wasn't getting me there.  No clue why but Satch 2 tweaking got me where I wanted to be quickly.  Hopefully that holds up for other projects.

I recorded the kick with a favorite kick mic but the bare recording was not good.  New kick drum I had not worked with before.

Also v2 requires a Serial Number.  v1 did not.   So that is the only step back for me.

Yep i watched it , but the v1 seems as deep , i almost felt like some stuff lisding ( or must be the simplifued layout) anyway i will give it a test ... i ve been at plugin boutique , where do you see the free regroover option ?

  5. Well sergio it s more about what you need ... usually for sound generation , i give a high priority to inspiration and how fast i get what i need and want ..i ain t gonna spend dayz doing a/b like i can do with compressors lol ...

so if you re after the absolute oberheim sound , this one might be what can def do it itb ...opx pro also is a beast ...but if you need to expand your sonic palette , it  s about what s missing from your arsenal ...

try it and let your feeling decide , and don t feel bad about the HW or even the software , if you decided to not gôfor itb, pretty sure in you subconscient you had good reasons ;)

    [/

Beware he L2 is exelltn , but from memory you can t deactivate bits resolution , so from memory , your audio will get out of this thing at 24 bits ...

    This! ^^^

I don't find this to be a very big issue with Sonar/Cakewalk, because most of the plugins except for DXi and Pro Channel will work elsewhere. But in a program like Studio One Pro, which has some excellent bundled plugins, they are all locked to the DAW.

I assume that by locking a user and their workflow into the host plugins creates a "sticky" factor, making it less tempting for them to cross over to another competitor.

So I prefer ala carte plugins that can travel anywhere. I wish DAW vendors would always release VST versions of their bundled plugins, even if it is an optional paid upgrade.

Yep in fact there s cons and pros , a big pro is project exchange between same daw  users ... a lot of pro collegue do that ...also another pro is maintenance that is always done at the same as the daw itselff , you have a warranty compatibility and trouble free experience ...

talking about the quality  alot are made by Overloud , a brand synonimous with musicality in my book ...i love all their stuff ...

I agree completely, I think many people underappreciated the Cakewalk plug-ins because they were "free." Which they weren't, of course - they were part of the cost of Sonar. I always thought Cakewalk would start offering add-ons, including the older plug-ins, but it must not be a trivial undertaking or it would have happened by now.

Nor is Cakewalk alone in this. People assume that a third-party plug-in just has to be better than what comes with a program, yet many DAW-specific plug-ins are excellent...Digital Performer's amp sims and Live's beat-synched processors come to mind.

As to the original question, I was in LA last weekend and turned a VR designer on to Cakewalk one morning. She connected immediately with the program and when I left in the afternoon, was still playing with it :). I really think there are two issues in getting more adoption:

    1. Making people aware that it even exists.

    2. Making it easier to get started. Currently, the irony is you need to know  a lot about the program in order to take advantage of the features that simplify it.

Or maybe they have several daws and want cross daw plugins ;)

Yowsa! Thanks for the heads up guys. I need to stay far far away from these with my poor excuse for a "rig".

    J 37 ok

    rs 56 ok

the tg mastering could be use on mastering stage

    forget about the rest ...

  10. Yep i guess , waves trying to push their own dsp , because even it sounds great their chambers isn t better than 3 times less cpu hungry  algo stuff around ... even convo stuff like liquidsonics ..

if i knew how , i would sell those .... because it s even more fristrating to see them and not being able to use them !

    Now I'm impressed!!! 😮😮😮

Sorry for my impertinence, Zo. I should have checked your video again before jumping into conclusions. I saw your video but, after a while, I was just hearing it and did not paid much attention to the image.

So... do you think the PA emulation is on par or better than Arturia's (that I like a lot BTW)?

I was hoping that Softube could release some vintage synth emulations since the sound of their modular stuff is second to none.

Sergio no need to apologise ... in fact i didn t compared them side to side and was more ficused on features and stability ...

For me , the arturia is usperior when it comes to interfacing ... sound wise , i can t say that much ;)  i let you guyz decide ...
