In other news, the GDP of Israel, Sweden, Germany and England all report 50% drops last week.

Should I get it now, or do you think it will be less if I wait for Black Friday?

I'm still on Sony Ver 10 and it is working fine and doing what I need.  I am thankful Magix is authenticating the older versions but I don't see much value in what their versions are bringing and there are always hidden struggles making a change.

I'm on version 12 and it works fine. The only reason I upgraded to version 12 was because you can use 64-bit plug-ins.

    Thanks @cclarry for sharing this.

I just had somewhat of a backlog of things to share so this was a great way to do it. I find I do better just going with the flow of things. I am possibly going to release “flashbacks” from the stream to highlight some of those moments.

I really do enjoy sharing with everyone. Thanks for the kind support.

I love your videos. But I also love that you sound like one of my favorite actors,  Michael McKean.

The sound difference is awakening  based on which plugins you've used.  I  love the sound these two plugins add to  mixes I've substituted previous  EQ and bus compressor plugins I had in the mixes before.

You can't beat this deal no matter when you decide to use the plugins .

The heck with the plug-in deal, I want to know what brand of coffee this guy's drinking.

but I'm worried if I wait between versions too long my upgrade price will double.

I don't think you have to worry about that. If anything, it's possible they'll do a sale, since the studio version was the only version of melodyne 5 that wasn't discounted during Black Friday. That being said, I'm happy that I upgraded.

Has anyone here upgraded from Melodyne 4 Studio to 5 Studio?

The only thing I see in M5S that I would use is it has a de-esser function now. It finds sibilance and adjusts the volume. It doesn't use compression and therefor doesn't alter the rest of the vocal signal.

I was hoping to see some UI updates plus it always felt clunky to me for lack of a better word but it looks the same except it has a few new features. None of which I would use except the de-esser. It's pretty rare that I use M4S to be honest because the UI is difficult to use for me.

    Thanks.

The sibilant tool is worth the price of admission. But I also love the leveling macro that will make quiet notes louder and louder notes quieter so you don't have to compress as heavy-handed.  The overall pitch detection is so much better and there is a new algorithm for pitched percussion.
