  1. I didn't know that Koby was carrying Pulsar Audio.
  2. Bigger discount this time. I got the Binson Echorec for $24 with code Group https://www.jrrshop.com/pulsar-digital?dir=desc&order=special_from_date
  3. In my case it's because I already have TRIAD and also there's not many plugins left for me to get from PA. And if you'd like to know why BYOME if I already have TRIAD... well... because it's an audio plugin, isn't it? 🙂 Just kidding. It's because multi band can be unnecessary in many situations. I think It'll be less bloated and also I could save some CPU cycles using BYOME instead.
  4. To best use my monthly voucher I'll probably get BYOME and bx_XL v2 in this sale. But I'll wait 'till the end of the month for the case PA releases a new Wolfgang Palm synth until then (and supposing I could get it for around $50 bucks or less).
  5. I'll be highly interested in your results if you ever care to post them here. I also have an old mic but I'm not exactly inclined to buy a new one right now (I'm not in the USA, Europe, Japan, etc). Depending on what you find my inclination could change.
  6. If I understood correctly it's a matter of precision. There's a theoretical ideal room response that could theoretically be achieved with the right microphone and the right measurements. Of course the real result will always be an approximation of that and the microphone response is only one of the factors involved. It looks like the new microphones have a tighter component tolerance and so the end result (again theoretically) can be closer to ideal. It doesn't mean that the results obtained with older IK mics or generic mics will be bad. I guess the differences could be very light and hard to perceive. But I'm guessing... YMMV.
  7. Hey Peter. What's the deadline for the introductory price on ARC 3 and/or the $50 coupon? Thanks.

    PA Gig Performer

According to PA this plug is more geared towards live performance. If you want only to build chains of plugins in your DAW this other could be an alternative: https://ddmf.eu/metaplugin-chainer-vst-au-rtas-aax-wrapper/ With the added advantage of hosting both 64 and 32 bit plugs (better test before buying). The current price is $50. I got it for $29 in the last DDMF sale.
  9. Can I buy this and use it later? If so, is there any time limit? Fuggedaboutit... I found the info. Music not quite ready? Buy a submission at the discounted rate today and use it when you need it. Here's how: Get started by clicking "Add New Title" in your Account Dashboard, then select what level of service you would like, Standard or Pro (be sure the coupon you want to use is good for the level of service you have chosen). Next, you'll be prompted to input some of the information for your album. If you don't have all of this info yet, you can input anything** as a placeholder for now, and edit it later. As long as you get past that first "Basic Album Information" page, you'll be able to check out at any point. **please enter your actual artist name as this is what we build our internal album ID off of. To check out, go back to your Account Dashboard by clicking the tab that says "Dashboard" at the top of the screen. Check the box that says, "Add To Cart" to the right of your album, then click the teal "Checkout" button. Proceed through checkout, and apply the coupon on the "Order Overview" page - make sure to click the APPLY COUPON button to apply the discount! Once you click the "APPLY COUPON" button the discount will appear in the cart before you pay.
  10. Thanks for the info Larry. Do you know if the easter egg promotion items will change till the end of this sale?
  11. I can just talk about my experience. I'm in the current versions of Cubase and Wavelab but I'm one version behind Ableton and two versions behind Arturia. Also you can postpone upgrading Steinberg and get at least one 0.5 version for free (if the new features are not essential for your work, of course). I started Live on version 9, so I'm a relatively new user. But I started Arturia on version 3 and I must have paid almost $600 to have my current version 5. A newcomer can get V Collection for $250 during sales. That's why I stopped upgrading until the new features worth the total amount I'll be paying. BTW, I praise Live and V Collection. They are great products, IMO. I just can't keep the pace with those two companies.
  12. Well... what I was suggesting is the exact opposite of this: it would be fair to have a bigger discount the more you paid before (at least to a limit). And I'm not saying that everyone does this but, IMO, rather they should. And just as an example: Steinberg does. I'm not, again, saying it's the perfect model but, at least, the incremental values encourage upgrading. And, of course, I always wait for sales or good release discounts when I can.
  13. Except that if you upgrade since version 1 you'd have paid looooooads more for the same product than a newcomer. I'd say that this policy is geared towards getting new people on board. OTOH this discourages many people (Iike me) from upgrading. Arturia uses the same tactics and... well... I'm still on version 5 of the V Collection bundle. Maybe they could get more money by giving their loyal users a better deal.
  14. I have 9 standard and the upgrade for 10 standard is $160. I don't think it's worth 'cause I can't see the big difference apart from some minor cosmetic changes. I have loads of 3rd part plugins, instruments and libraries so the Suite content also does not appeal me. The only thing I'd like to have is Max for Live and the recently added components to interface with modular gear via DC coupled interfaces. But even for that $342 is waaay too expensive 🙄
  15. Even with my monthly voucher it'd be over $100. Too expensive for a channel strip, specially having all the other options. I'm more inclined to get the new synths but if the price is also at that level I'll probably postpone them too and get the more affordable options first. I still have a couple of PA special offers I can get for $25with my voucher.
  16. No. That one was a compressor, from Softube and with limited Germanium. This one, weighting 780 megs, must be well stocked.
  17. I can confirm this. This is the voucher I received at the end of the survey.
  18. I did the survey yesterday and received the voucher. So... yes!!!

    Banned from KVR

Can someone explain to me why a dealer cannot post... err.... deals... in a Sell&Buy forum 🤔
  20. My upgrade from v5 is also $99 but I'm still undecided. What bothers me is that if I took this route sooner or later I'll have to pay $99 again (at least) to upgrade for the next version. From the new instruments available what interests me most would be the Easel and maybe the Synthi V (as I have the Xils 4) For the rest I have good enough equivalents. I'll probably wait for the next version since I REALLY don't need another synth (real or virtual). But if they include the old Ensoniq models in the collection (ESQM, SQ80, Fizmo, MR76) I'd get the upgrade without thinking twice.
  21. I'd get this plugin if the sale was extended until the end of month. I can't see the point in doing short time sales like some I've seen in the past weeks. If they want people to BUY the plugins why restrict the time that much ? 🙄
  22. Still waiting for the $29 sale.
  23. I have my Waves licenses and my PA licenses on the same USB stick. I got a good quality one just for that. I think it's less prone to break than a SSD or magnetic HD. Also, you can upgrade your computer without worrying losing your licenses.
  24. I don't know. $199 seems a lot to pay for a compressor made of limited germanium. For this amount I'd expect plenty of that.
  25. I got Haaze 2. IMO their best and most useful FX plugin.
