( now hope they do in future Nord Modular :) )

I have a Modular G2 Engine expanded. It's one of my favorite synths and the Clavia software editor is still compatible with Win10.

IMO the most difficult part would be replicating this patch editor.  The Nord Modular front panel does not help much without a dedicated editor for patching. And to create it as a VST plugin would be even harder I think.

The native modular synths of today have surpassed the Nord in terms of sound quality and versatility though.

    3. rename the firmware_bin / _bin64 with .bin at the end

There are two files there: firmware_bin and firmware_bin64.
Do you mean rename them for (for example) firmware.bin and firmware64.bin ?
Or rename to firmware_bin.bin and firmware_bin64.bin?
    Both are needed?
Sorry to ask but I am very interested in this and cannot test it right now.
    Thanks in advance.

I've heard this before about them and haven't grasped it.

Do you mean offering new licenses for 1/4 the cost of upgrade?

I mistook the products; I already have SampleTank 4 Max. I was thinking about Total Studio Max, that I have at version 3.5.

I agree that IK frequently does good deals and I already got them many times before. But considering all the money I paid for everything I have from them it's not unreasonable to expect that I should pay less for the next version than someone who never spent a cent with them before.

But it's good for the new customers. No way to disagree with that.

Sure. I think you can get it for $199.

Better to go with this sale, use some Jam Points, and get it for $50 like I did.

If it's just the improved engine you're interested in, you can upgrade to the ST 4 engine for free by getting SampleTank 4 CS and using it with whatever 3.5 instruments and sounds you already have.

Thanks for the answer. I was afraid of that. Well... I can also keep ignoring IK multimedia completely as I am doing for, at least, the last year. At least until they keep this absurd upgrade policy.

    Doesn't work.

    Oh... I stand corrected 😶
I followed the link but didn't notice that not everything shown in the page was included in the promotion.

This and... eh... I was a bit enthusiastic about the cleverness of my wordplay 😛

Got all those, except the b_clipper, as they were released with my F29 subscription. I still prefer this way of buying PA plugins over all the subscription options as I have almost everything else they have. I wish they had more synths on their catalog though.

Oh, and since I got the F29 I simply ignore all the other promotions they have  all the time.

  7. Fog is a versatile sound design and music tool capable of producing vast shimmering soundscapes, granular textures, and infinite time-stretched drones. With a simple interface, it offers a wealth of supernatural sound possibilities with just a few straightforward adjustments.

Fog employs a basic sampler to record a snippet of incoming audio (up to 11 seconds). The sampled sound then undergoes granular time-stretching and pitch shifting. The audio is then routed through an algorithmic space control that has its own DEPTH and TONE sections. You can dial down the DEPTH to zero to only get the granular effect or you can max it out to craft an endless drone.

Finally the audio is routed through a variable filter with Low-Pass, Band-Pass and High-Pass options. Between the algorithmic space TONE control and FILTER you can sculpt the sound to perfection. Combine that with daw automation of these controls and the drone easily comes to life.

  8. An easy pass for me. I have Collection V9 and Minifreak V but my upgrade is $149. Not interested in the new versions, the augmented stuff and specially not interested at all in the 303 sh*t.

Edith: oh... and my upgrade to the Mini V4 is $49, the same price I'll pay for the new Moog Mariana.

If they provode a good MS 20 filter (maybe two versions) this could be something solid imho and enougth !!

Oh... I'm not implying that it wouldn't Zo. It's just that every other MS-20 VST version has emulated analog oscs or is entirely sample based. This being a hybrid and "korg flavored" virtual synth not including the waves I mentioned is kind of a wasted opportunity (as I said... IMO).

Edith: and I don't even know if the waves are included or not. I haven't looked with more attention to this yet. Mainly because I'm more interested in  the new Moog VST right now.

  10. iZotope VocalSynth 2                                $25,00
    Gforce ImpOscar 2                                     $17,00
Escape Motions Rebelle 7 Pro             $30,00
    SonicLab Oscillator Bundle                   $61,00

Next month I'll get the 8Dio Studio Orchestral Bundle for $98 and I'm planning to renew my Roland Cloud subscription,

Also, it comes with a LOT of presets, most of them pretty usable. Sound quality is excellent, and the sound is distinctive. A steal for less than $5.

Where you saw that for less than $5?
