In my recollection, that was a blink-of-an-eye offer that was quickly adjusted upwards. I would pay $249 for that upgrade if I presently had that kind of $, but that is the most I would ever pay and it is still not market competitive when most other DAW's have offered 50% off at least once recently. Further, the fundamental issue is that, aside from being structured in an unfair way for loyal users, their offerings are intensely overpriced to begin with, and their sales are middling. And they put most of their software development efforts into features for a companion hardware that costs another $799. It's their business. I just think they could have a LOT more business.

I will never understand their business model, but apparently it works for them, at least. So it goes...

And it somehow still manages to be outrageously expensive. $342 to go from 9 Standard to Suite? No thanks.

Very much agree. I wish Ableton would take this opportunity to, for once, provide existing Standard users with meaningful discounts.

Thanks for flagging this. Awesome deal. Marty Schwartz is a very gifted instructor. At one month, still much better than the 3 months of free Fender Play thing. Fender Play is okay if you need the kiddie pool, but otherwise not so much.

I would buy the hell out of this if I didn't already own it. Bundle is tempting, though. Maybe I'll buy something else to grab that.

I can address that. I own VVV and have owned the Wet pedal. Somewhat apples and oranges. VVV hearkens back to classic Lexicon-ish reverb sounds. Killer plugin. WET is its own unique algorithm and its own thing. Not meant to sounds like any classics. Perhaps more organic and less-"effecty," but you can bring it into very effecty ambient sounds. I do agree they are targeting Valhalla DSP's price points with the intro offer, or appear to be.

How is Bass Fingers? I've got a personal deal that, combined with my cash back, would give me that plug for $12. I am a (not great) bass player as a second instrument, but I suppose it could be handy for making MIDI generated guitar practice backing tracks etc. EDIT: Never mind; would eat too much hard drive space for me at present.

I agree, but the Wet is a pretty well known and revered guitar pedal, so I’m sure they’re just relying on that for now.

If only some of the synths were at $29. The $15 expires tomorrow, but nothing is really grabbing me and I’d need to stick at the $29 price point. Marroquin EQ is tempting, but do I need it?
