  1. Only got a 10% code. I wish I was one of the cool kids.
  2. Thanks, Larry. PLAY has always underwhelmed me, so will keep my fingers crossed. Might pick up the pro expansion for my SD2, anyway, and check out Opus. Or not.
  3. Anyone know whether this new Opus engine will eventually replace PLAY for older products, as well, or if it is just for new stuff?
  4. I did that and was ready to check out using Jam Points, but no go on the points use. Oh well.
  5. See here: Older post re Retromod Not just me.
  6. That was in my Focusrite account for at least a couple months.
  7. Amazing that after years of AIR promising free updates with scalable GUI's we get...this. And only after their plugs broke in Windows and some retailers stopped selling them as a result. Bravo?!?
  8. I shouldn’t have demoed this. ?
  9. Sweet deal. Thanks for the heads up. Got it with Things- Motor for $12.35. I had wanted that one, too.
  10. S1 is solid but they burned my rump a bit with their crap MPE implementation. T’was the reason I updated from 4 Pro. If only I had known.
  11. I was blathering before about Pigments and MPE-specific presets. Turns out I was actually thinking of Generate with the MPE specific presets. I bought both on the same day and misremembered what was what. Anyway...carry on. Pigments 3 is superb.
  12. They got me on the upgrade from Eco. Will be nice to have an alternative to SD2, since I got rid of all my Toontrack a while ago. Hoping I can track down the Ableton drum rack for BFD3 that used to float around the internets.
  13. The Morph is really versatile and tons of fun. I think it would be more bang for the buck than the Block. The Morph does provide more tactile feedback/texture than you might think.
  14. Thanks. I’ve had Pigments since v2 and have a Morph. Good combo, but this video predates the new sound packs for v3. Pigments 2 had some MPE specific presets and I’m just wondering if the Spectrum packs have more MPE presets.
  15. Can anyone report on MPE content in the Spectrum pack? Might tempt me to pick it up.
  16. Nice to see. Love me a free update. Look forward to trying v3.
  17. Got the meter for free. Filled a need. Can't beat that.
  18. I wasn't trying to punish them. I wanted to sell it and try to recoup my investment in a crap company whose products were angering me every time I even thought of them. Had I not sold them, they would have sat unused with no further benefit to me whatsoever.
  19. Toontrack treats existing customers like crap and tries to fleece them. I got rid of everything I had from them , which was quite a bit. I despise them. I'm not sure Melda counts as a large software developer, but I'm a Melda fan and love their upgrade model. As for upgrades, though, "lifetime upgrades" become less useful when they elect to create new, tangential products of the same type and put new features there, Eventide has always been generous, fair, and awesome. UVI is attentive and solid, although their upgrade pricing for sound libraries leaves something large to be desired. NI is generous but their customer support is hideous. IKM is a mixed bag but continues to run with some bad decisions and lacks nuance as to what is owned, upgrades, etc. That said, they generally offer great value for money. WUP is a joke, so Waves gets no love here. Their products and and pricing are generally good. Their installers and endless re-versioning are a joke. Ableton has great support and kit but massively overcharges existing customers. I'm new to Arturia but they seem quite decent. AAS is super generous with customers and very responsive with support. Plugin Alliance has historically been great across the board with support and generosity. Not as big of a fan since the model changed. Unsure if U-he is considered large, but they are great in every way. I would have given Cakewalk high marks, but the Lifetime Platinum screw and subsequent decommissioning of everything not CbB burned my ***** something fierce.
  20. Gotcha. I guess I had just noticed the presets were related to vst2, which isn't that useful to me. Cool product, though.
  21. Any idea why this doesn't support vst3? That's the deal breaker for me.
