  1. Odd. The exact same thing happened to me in Cubase Elements demo, but with Kontakt 5 full. 6 Player works fine. My K5 was working fine in the last version of CbB, as well as Ableton and some other hosts, but not Elements. I have not yet fired up the latest CbB update since I installed, but will do so and report back.
  2. Thanks for the tip. Not a bad one, but I am disinclined to do that because my K5 works fine in CbB, Ableton, Reaper, etc.. Cubase Elements is the only outlier with the database anomaly. I'm only demoing Elements (to get a sense of the Cubase ecosystem) and at this point have not been seduced into buying the crossgrade, so maybe a non-issue.
  3. Thanks all. I check Native Access a couple times a week and stay current. I'm nerdy like that. I'll ask Steinberg. Was just curious if anyone else had experienced the issue. I appreciate the suggestions!
  4. Thank you. I'm quite stumped as to what the problem is with my K5. At any rate, troubleshooting basic functionality of a bread and butter plugin is not a Cubase-confidence-inspiring experience.
  5. I'm demoing Elements, although my fuzz pedal spending/addiction has pretty much negated any available funds. Nevertheless, is anyone else having problems with the Kontakt 5 (full) GUI in Cubase? All my menus and directories in Kontakt 5 are zeroed out and non-navigable when I open it in Elements. Kontakt Player 6 is fine, however.
  6. I take reviews of SSDs quite seriously. If there are a lot of reported failures or comments about heat issues, I take that much more seriously than some yelp review. Heat is the enemy of computing.
  7. Those recipes would be quite uninspiring, given that he has been dead for several years now.
  8. The reviews do not inspire confidence.
  9. Sad and humorous. I hope the three or four users who pony up enjoy their kit.
  10. It is also unavailable on floppy disc and will not run on Tandy's proprietary version of MS-DOS.
  11. CLA Effects is totally worth the 14.50 asking price.
  12. Having kicked Toontrack to the curb, I'm still holding out hope for AD3. This does not bode well, however.
  13. I would have been all over Byome had they increased the crossgrade discount to be less than the "anyone and everyone" discount. Not a fan of useless crossgrade discounts.
  14. I haven't received a PA customer voucher for months, but the last email said the monthly vouchers would be released after this sale is over.
  15. The guy behind Exponential, Michael Carnes, used to be an engineer at Lexicon. He's got game, for sure.
  16. I agree with TerraSin that this was Larry's own fault. Larry was also at fault for the Russian hacking of the DNC. And the Equifax debacle.
  17. I have plenty of iZotope products, but am not keen on their "fleece or abandon" model of managing their software offerings and customers.
  18. Now there can be a paid point revision on these reverbs, with modest revisions for beaucoup dollars, every 8 months like other iZotope products. Yay!
  19. Also, free to Anthology bundle owners in latest installer.
  20. "80's funk was the best funk!" said no one, ever.
  21. Finally! Awesome. Thanks for the heads up!
  22. I appreciate, Peter. Thankfully, it appears the update cured the locked sounds issue. I haven't really had a chance to use it yet, so we will see, but looks good. Thanks for all you do.
  23. Hoping this fixes the locked sounds issue that support apparently abandoned me on after their boilerplate instructions did not work.
  24. I look forward to upgrading next time the upgrade is on sale. I sold all my Toontrack stuff after they started trying to manhandle existing customers.
