  1. As does Ableton. So it's not the software side I'm unsure about. I have that working already. I'm still a bit on the fence on how I would wany my setup to be and if I'm overlooking or misunderstanding some aspects of working with a patchbay.
  2. So, I have the following (luxury) situation: I have a nice homestudio with lots of synths. My setup is 4xADA8200 (=8 inputs and 8 outputs per unit) connected to an RME Digiface via ADAT. Recently I decided to lose the last remaining money I have left and get into pedals (at least I'm not doing modular). I'm using 22 inputs at the moment, all synths and drummachines. Add some spare inputs I like to keep free for occational inputs like guitars, microphones, portable synths, etc. Let's say 5-6. That's 27. Which leaves me with 4-5 inputs left. I bought 6 pedals, 4 of which are stereo. That's 10 inputs. I don't have those left, so I thought I'd get a patchbay. I liked the idea of quickly patching a synth to a pedal. Now I'm breaking my brain on how to do this. In my mind, I can do 2 things: 1 Connect (almost) everything to the patchbay and then to the ADA's. Use the patchbay to route the signals through the pedals. 2 Connect everything to the ADA's and use the ADA outputs as sends for the pedals which loop back to an ADA input. In scenario 1 I can freely route, but I cannot route every piece of gear I have to the pedals and I think (!! I don't understand patchbays that well) I can't use multiple synths to 1 pedal. Which is fine because that would merge the audio of those synths together and I like to keep them recorded separately. In scenario 2 I can route max 30 outputs (I already use 2 for a headphone amp and I use the RME out to my monitors). So I could connect a maximum of 28 outputs from the ADA's to the patchbay. Then I could use every pedal as an external send fx or external insert fx (I use Ableton). With much room to spare. Then I could route the pedal outputs back into the patchbay and back into my open inputs on the ADA's. And I could route pedals into eachother, I think? But how should I connect this (to a half-normalled patchbay)? I think scenario 2 gives me the most options. Am I missing something here?
  3. Thanks! I can't do short 😅 Although I do post shorts, but these are just excerpts from the long one.
  4. But in all seriousness, I'm always a bit sceptical of filter plugins. Especially when they are $70. Not knocking Denise in particular, Acustica Audio did the same for example. So maybe I'm totally mistaken, but what does this do that my stock Ableton plugins cannot? Ok, fair enough, I might have to combine an LFO tool with a filter, but still...
  5. There's the secret boys. Y'all want to be rockstars and mixgods, just do your stuff quickly with confidence. Because...and get this...you will be faster! Faster, harder, Scooter!!
  6. This is more like the now popular melodic techno. So at times a bit empty, but that gives some room for individual sounds. I'm (again 😮‍💨) having some technical weirdness at the moment, so I wasn't able to record something this weekend. Yet. Hopefully I can sort everything out. Anyway, I ramble on. Enjoy!
  7. Ok this thing sounds (d)awesome. I read something about 700 presets and here's just a taste: Price is still high though. I might hold on for a better deal than 30%. That being said, I do have faith this is worth the money if you don't have something like this. Edit: sorry, same video has been posted above by locrian but I can't delete this on my mobile 😵‍💫
  8. Unfiltered Audio is good stuff. So I wanted to F29 it, when I realised I didn't reveive my code last month. Or I totally missed it somehow. I submitted a ticket.
  9. Thanks! That's very kind of you. It all just came together and during the sounddesign I thought..."hey this is beginning to sound like 90s trance...let's go!".
  10. A bit late on the sunday, but I was away for the whole weekend to Dublin. So here it is, the latest jam. This time the sounddesign stage took me into the 90s trance era, so I went with it. Flashy visuals in the thumbnail, perhaps a bit slower tempo than what was customary at that time, but it's not an exact copy. Enjoy!
  11. Thank you for the listen and the comment. I'm learning to utilize the stereofield more.
  12. Well not yet, but I found a temporary solution. Haven't had the time to fix it. On the homefront it's a bit better luckily. Thanks for the comment.
  13. A bit of a crossover between techno and trance. I decided to do the main melody line live so I could improvise a little. And by a little I mean everything. Luckily it came out well. Enjoy!
  14. Stop hurting me! I just shelled out over €500 for a hardware reverb of which I'm pretty shure I could replicated it to a degree if I actually used 25% of my reverb and granular plugins.
  15. I actually did use it! But not remembering in which project and on which sound says something...
  16. I found myself living in Sweden there for a short while 😇
  17. Yes it was insane. My little town was 'world news' for a moment.
  18. I found a workaround for the tech issues. I re-connected all the synths from the non-functioning pre-amp unit to one I barely use (I have 4 and mostly use 3). The issues are still the same but somehow this works. I can't use headphones, that signal is still overloaded with white noise (a sign of samplerate mismatch, so I contacted RME support). It is weird, because the incoming signal is ok but the outgoing not. Luckily my father got out of bed today (12 hours after surgery!) and walked a bit. This is such a crappy weekend. On top of everything there was a hostage situation (!!) 5 minutes from my house. Snipers, bombsquad, DSI (the guys who get called in by SWAT or even military units to 'handle things'), the whole nine yards.
  19. That's a compliment I'll take any day.
  20. A bit of a cheecky title. Here we go again. It's sunday! The synths in the break are a bit thin, but get back-up from the Matriarch. Vocals a bit too loud, but hey. Sadly, this could be my last jam for a while. I'm having technical issues which I can't solve at the moment. Nor do I have the time. Somehow I lost sync/lock on all my ADA8200's and I'm having trouble pinpointing the issue. I hope it's something silly but I can't figure it out yet. It seems like a samplerate thing but I haven't changed anything so it baffles me. Add to that that my father broke his hip this weekend so my attention is elsewehere and I'm away next weekend. So maybe I will record something with the units that do work. Anyway, enough personal stuff. Enjoy!

  22. I think the Pianist bundle at the UJAM site is as low as it ever got, I could be mistaken though. I believe the lowest was 149 and it's 99 now.
  23. Thank you so much! I love making these breaks. Synths are so awesome for that. This week I'm a bit strapped for time, BUT I did record a fun project some weeks ago which I might edit and put out. I might as well say it, I connected the MIDI out of the Roland J-6 (a little chord machine) to my Prophet 6 and recorded all kinds of progressions. Very fun project! Now I 'just 'have to edit 24 seperate audio and video files. And I have to record another jam midweeks somewhere this week or the next because I will be away for a weekend for a citytrip with my friends to Dublin.
  24. I'm very happy with this one. The synths really shined in their 'optima forma'. Lots of sustained sounds which almost mimics low strings. The Prophet 6 is magical, and the Moogs are well, Moogs. The stuttering lead is a stack of leads from the Peak with a modulated (unsynced) tremolo.
  25. Thanks! Yeah it got a bit out of hand, but now I'm pretty much done.
