  1. We used to have many women on the forums. They've drifted slowly away and I miss them. I took 2  of them to lunch and we had a great time. Very knowledgeable and talented women have passed though these Cakewalk portals

There may be more here now but I haven't seen any women here in a while

  2. When it is delivered I will post a picture of it as it looks with all the other guitars on my wall

Becan for breakfast while I wait till Mike calls and tells me it’s on the way to it’s new home. I will then name her.

I need suggestions. Right now I Am leaning toward Nancy after Nancy Wilson

I think I Am going to get this one. I love the look. Matches my GB 100  cept' solid body. I played this guitar at our local Guitar Center and was amazed how light it was. Lighter than my tele . I love the humbucker sound too

p.s btw, I've been meaning to tell ya James, I love your songs.

  5. My grandson can whiz though scales and arpeggios. When he picks up his guitar that's what he plays. I asked him to play a song. He started playing bits of a guitar riff from a tune he liked. Then I asked if he knew one melody to any tune. He knew none. Long ago I told him the key to playing music is to know music and how people understand and perceive it.  I said he should learn as many melodies as he could and be able to play them in a singing style. He did not do that. Well all I could think of was an analogy of being able to build a house and everything it involves and having many many tools and not know how to use them.  No matter how many tools you have to build a house, until you know how and  what it takes to build that house you not going to have a house. He smiled shook his head yes. When I left the room he resumed his speed scale workout GEEZER.gif.7f906e70723678ac71499ab42f4d65bc.gif

Ya the 10-52's are a little too heavy for me but I totally understand why some people use them, to be honest there's not much of a difference on the high E -B and G strings. But on the D- A and E strings is a big jump(.6,10,10).

I have gorilla hands and don’t need a vibrato    bar. I rip off 8s and 9s so I moved to heavier strings. I suppose I play and look 👀 and smell like one too 🙄 though I Am not hairy

you can call me hairy but I prefer bayoubill

  7. I think it's a sound you hear that calls you.  Strats did that to me. I feel in love with that sound. Teles have a sound I've always wanted but never got around to owning till a few years ago. I've played so many kinds and makes of guitars but I always come back to my Strat. Gibsons always seem to be missing something to me.

    I did loved my 335 ESDP16GTNH-large.jpg

    and Ibanez GB10 .  000000100149221-00-500x500-B.jpg

Both were golden and sounded great and I used them a lot on gigs but at home I had my Strat
