Man am I an idiot.  I just tore my studio apart trying to find the culprit.  What was it you ask?  My new-ish Presonus headphone amp has a tiny little MONO button on the bottom corner.  It is partially hidden by my monitor.  AHHHHHGGGG!!

All of a sudden, my pan doesn't really pan.  I changed nothing in settings or preferences, but now it just sort of barely dims one channel even when fully panned one way or another.  This is tested with multiple tracks and projects  Ever heard of this? I just tried messing with my cables, my interface.  Nothing.  I checked pan laws, they are unchanged from the default.   I am officially stumped.

Just another good free one to consider is Traders Little Helper.  Encodes anything and everything.  Works great!

I might be misunderstanding, but I think you can use melodyne.  In new project of any tempo, just drag the original clip up into the timeline.  Melodyne will think for a bit, and BOOM. Your project will mirror the original track tempo.  I think this is what other poster was referring to.  Really easy.  I do this when I am recording covers sometimes for all those bands who don't record to a click.

Yeah, I updated as well, and still have to manually change over to melodic.  I don't have an old enough version to roll back, but its only a couple clicks to fix.  Still a PITA.  I will keep waiting for a real update.....

The new Zplane instant harmony is apparently pretty amazing, and it does full and automatic audio pitch editing as well

Just want to chime in and say that I also use both the Metro and the Singleman a ton.  Fantastic clean tones, and a good platform to get dirty with pedals as well.  Thx for the clarification on the Metro. It was pretty confusing....

I'll have to check Dim Pro again.  I thought I scanned it pretty good.  Thx for the tip.
