I'd go with the FP 16...Behringer is "hit and miss" quality wise...

I'm inclined to agree with that....I love the Behringer price and the master fader, too. But not if the quality isn't there--price for what you get with FP seems a better value, anyway.

  2. Yeah, I saw it afterwards...but I probably won't get it anyway....looking at maybe Presonus Faderport 16 I although I own Studio One 5 I use Cakewalk--I own a Presonus Quantum audio interface. So that may be the best choice for the money. Or go cheaper with Behringer XTouch. Any thoughts?

  3. Being tempted now to do the Subscription--offering it now (their best package) for $125.00/year. Sure you don't own the product and have to pay again in a year, but at least you are up to date with everything automatically, which might very well cover the cost of an individual upgrade. In the case of MPS upgrade from 3-4 $125 price is attractive, but I already have Ozone 9 and Tonal Balance 2, etc., so either way it's a lot of paying for something I already own, anyway. Not sure but I must be wearing down on my anti-subscription stance. Seems most companies update major releases each year, maybe it's just the reality of the times we are in.

You’ll like BBC Core, but you’ll love BBC Pro.

Gonna check out the upgrade price...maybe I will. I watched the videos, and yes, Pro is eons better, but $$$ made me wait. For today, anyway....haha.

  5. I went ahead and splurged on BBC Core (upgrade from DIscover)--I like it...much more stuff than DIscover, and also has solo instruments, unlike Abbey Road, which I also have and like--eventually they will add modules for Abbey Road, the sound of the studios are different.

I'd love some more of Spitfire's specialty libraries for film scores, etc., but this will have to wait, as I've splurged on a bunch of stuff from 8DIO, as well as today updating Komplete Ultimate to 13. So for now I may be done, other than lower priced items. Sigh--GAS strikes again...

If I could, I would get BBC Orchestra core because you get $49 credit for having Discovery, making the price
$240....that gets you a step closer to the full version...or course you could just plunk down the $599 for the full
    version...LOL

I could, but there are so many interesting tools they are offering at discount, and of course the Abby Road One I bought (on a great tip from you, Larry) at discount has been extremely useful immediately and since I bought it a few months ago. So thinking about more variety--maybe the composer toolkit, or some more esoteric library--always looking for cinematic sounds and not just straight orchestral. Food for thought, though...

  7. So many choices. I have Abby Road One and BBC DIscover (and some Labs stuff that curiously does'nt seem to work anymore, dang it..) and now I'm tempted to take advantage of this sale and stock up on some more Spitfire stuff, as I am now writing more orchestral/cinematic stuff. I don't know how I'm gonna decide what to get, since I cannot get them all--anyone out there who has many or most of these that can comment on which libraries are good or better than others for what type of music, and then if you had to pick one or two libraries, which one (or collection) would you go for? THanks.

  8. I got it, haven't had a chance to really play it much, but my initial impression is good. At that price I just had to do it--I will def use it in my next composition or two and compare it to two other similar pianos, the Una Corda (which I use a lot now) and Woodchester Piano. And sometimes combining 3-4 pianos as layers seems to work great in a mix, too--Pianoteq, Woodchester, Una Corda, and also Fluffy Audio's Scoring Piano.

  9. Epic Piano looks like something I could very well use often...for under $20 seems like a no-brainer. Anyone have any experience with the any other plug ins here? The price is right, but not sure anything else I actually "need." hahaha. Since when does that come into play?

  10. Their stuff looks fantastic, and I am frothing at the mouth looking at their orchestral libraries, which could really help me in composing for film/tv...the savings make it feasible, at least to get one or more of their libraries.

  11. Strange, I purchased a couple of bundles, fantastic deal, for 9 bucks each. Saw an email notification/confirmation with download info on my apple watch, but didn't have time to to into regular computer email, and the email is nowhere to be found, not deleted folder, spam folder, etc. etc. I have contacted Rigid Audio, but don't know what happened, because there's no way to download from the site, at least not that I could find. Sometimes a deal isn't a deal...now I'm worried something happened to the transaction, but I still have an email on my watch that I cannot click thru on, and it's concerning me. If I deleted the email accidentally this morning, it should still be retrievable, but as of now, it's missing. Hoping the company can re-send the links and confirmation to me.

Would have been tempted if they would offer a decent  Choir Library. One area, where Komplete is seriously lacking, imho.

I think they sell a partner-compatible vocal-type program, I'm forgetting the name, but it sounds great to me....

    Back OT(s) *.

Now I have the only two items I don't own to buy in the next group buy. This and the EP.

    * See what I did there?

Me, too...when does the group buy usually happen? Summer or Fall? I Cannot remember...

You have to join "Soundbetter" as stated, then there is a code - soundbetterx30 - that gets you
30% off your first purchase at Spitfire

    https://soundbetter.com/

Thanks, I was there, but didn't quite get it. On Spitfire's site I put in the shorter code in this OP and it got down to $262, not good enough.. Thanks, Larry.. You da man.

    The code makes ARO $244.30!

Confused as to which code/which site that ARO could be had for that price...I, too have Labs and DIscover, would love to expand, as I am getting deep into sync licensing and would like more orchestral/soundscape stuff...

  16. Well, the sub is a little bit less per month if you subscribe for an annual subscription, maybe not an option for everyone--or not even me...but I, too wonder if Pro version will mean anything substantial, vs. Advanced versions, etc. The price to upgrade is nice, but a scrip for a year wouldn't be beyond the pale since there will be upgrades included during the subscription. More research is needed, if I find anything out I'll post here.
