  1. Hello. Please can someone explain why when VSTs are fully uninstalled they still appear in the VST list when starting a new project? For example, I originally installed Spitfire Labs and BBC Symphony Orchestra, but then decided they were not suitable for my purposes. I therefore completely uninstalled these VSTs. I even uninstalled Cakewalk and then re-installed it in the hope this would rectify the problem. Does anyone know how to fix this glitch please? I have attached a screenshot so you can see the VSTs that are still listed (I only use Addictive Keys and Garritan CFX). Many thanks, Chris
  2. Hello, I'm trying to record my digital piano through Cakewalk using the ASIO4ALL driver. When I select the ASIO driver (under Edit-Preferences-Audio-Playback and Recording-Driver Mode), unfortunately my recording is silent. However, if I choose the WASAPI driver (instead of ASIO), the sound comes through fine. I have noticed that when I choose the WASAPI option, my digital piano shows up fine under Devices as "Line In (Realtek High Definition Audio)". However, when I choose the ASIO option, the digital piano does not show up under Devices (only "ASIO4ALL v2 HD Audio Stereo input 1" appears). So, my question is this: is there any way I can select the ASIO driver and still manage to get "Line In (Realtek High Definition Audio)" to appear under Devices? If I can get my Line in to appear I know this will solve the sound problem. Many thanks for any advice. Chris
  3. Hi reginaldStjohn, Yes, track 2 is also using Addictive Keys. As you thought, track 1 was still armed to record whilst I was trying to record track 2, silly me. Now I have disarmed track 1 thank goodness the sound comes through loud and clear. Thanks for the quick fix!
  4. Hello, I'm brand new to Cakewalk, so please forgive me if this seems a dumb question. I've worked out how to record a track using "Addictive Keys" VST (via my Midi keyboard). I have successfully recorded a track which I can also playback fine. However, I now want to add a second track on top. I followed the same procedure as a I did before and I can see the empty track is ready and waiting to be used. However, when I press the record button, I cannot hear the first track I recorded. I need to be able to hear this so I can play track 2 in time with track 1. Any advice as to how I can get track 1 to play whilst recording would be much appreciated. Thanks Chris
