  1. Seriously though, I think it is more of a statement.  I didn't think that it could get worse, back when they were releasing drum machine clones.   I think most people grasp at straws, and these people are grasping at ... thin AIR.

An effect that comes standard on most everything ... including my office coffeemaker and toaster. 🙂

  2. I'm not sure why people pay for something that's free.  How they still getting people to pay for ... I can't think of the word, but basically bloatware filled with spyware.   I use Only Office, but that's probably just as bad, but at least it's free.  With that being said, I'm all for bargains(why we all here) so there you go.

I've yet to use the cheap win 10 license I picked up, because I've been using Mac and Linux, but I do have a couple win 10 machines I use for gaming and on a laptop.  Windows is free to use, and you can pay a fee to activate it.

I actually make heavy use of the built-in text editor to copy and paste into a web interface for MS Docs.  If I really need to get down and dirty I'll make use of  RTD.  lol

  3. I feel a pun coming on, so by all means let me try to clear the ... air.  I can't really speak for them, and this is just my unprofessional opinion, so I understand it doesn't really mean much.  I think corporate is what was really holding them back, as is the usual with such corporate buyouts.   I thought I personally enjoyed a decent amount of customer service from them, but I also understand about some of the longstanding unresolved issues.

Again, I'm not trying to downplay any of it,  as I am the one that cracked the joke.  I really do like their products, but as we know corporate could care less about older products, and it's no wonder they aren't' retired/archived away by now.  I think that kind of sort of speaks to the ... value maybe?

It's still a good idea to check out the link @PavlovsCat provided, but at least for me, some of the sale prices are a no-brainer.

Well, well, look who’s back in town.

and with an aptly named product ... I'm still waiting for my Transfuser 3 software/hardware dream to come to fruition.

  5. I also own it, and you can make careful use of it, but you have to take the time to create a particular sound that's meant to sound a little off.  If I remember correctly I used last time with the samples from IK Total Studio.  I actually prefer Sugar Bytes Guitarist over it.

  6. I also felt it was kind of clunky to use, but I liked what they was trying to do with it.  It wasn't as bad if you didn't try to run multiple instances of it, but I'd use it on a couple of songs here and there.

When my machine crashed, they reset it and gave me the update for free.  I never had any problems contacting support, and the response was decent.  I'll probably pick it up when I get a chance, but I'm using an older iMac(2012) so it may not even run.

I'm just happy to see that they still working on it.

To be honest, I'm just a hobbyist.  I don't "absolutely" need the Komplete upgrade, but my wife needs to think that I do.

I thought I was the only hobbyist floating around these parts.  I do love Studio One, but I always have to catch it at least 50% off.  I do like my Mixcraft Pro, but it doesn't run on Mac.

I really can't see myself using any other DAW, so I hope they keep bringing it with V6.
