  1. Glitchmachines Convex is on sale for $9

Convex is a multi-effects processor designed to facilitate the creation of contorted artifacts, syncopated patterns and skewed digital textures.

Based around three classic effects; multimode filter, pitch shifter and delay, Convex generates dynamic variations of the input signal by crossfading between two instances of each effect and modulating their key parameters using an extensive array of control modules.

From mellow dub delays to mind-blowing glitch sequences, Convex brings a broad range of exciting effects to your sound design arsenal.

Will have to email as I bought it like 4 days ago

Oh. Shouldn't take that long. No harm in following up.

Am on the fence about picking up some upgrades myself as I've already bought a lot of stuff this month and am on a cool-down period now.

so I bought the upgrade from WG Jr to White Grand and its showing in my order history but nothing is showing in my downloads, do we have to wait for orders to be approved manually?

    The Upgrade page mentions:

You can buy upgrades as downloads, but the links will not be visible in your download area until the order has been verified and cleared for upgrade.

The links will be available in your download area within 24 hours

How do you get the magazine?  They send me a link that goes to Falkmedia but no magazine.

Never mind.  I was clicking the link in the wording and not the picture.

Am having the same problem. I've subscribed but I can't see any link to download the magazine. Can you please help?

edit: Just got the email with the download link to the magazine. Guess it takes some time to come through.

As long as you've downloaded all of your sounds from your User Area -> My Products section of your IK Multimedia account you should be good to go. I just checked the OXa and it should only have 14 Arpeggio related presets. Keep in mind though, there are a lot of Arpeggiator presets included. These can be used with any instruments in Syntronik for some unique sounds. use the LOCK next to the Arpeggiator preset name to retain he Arpeggiator setting while changing through instruments.

Thanks. I've already had a look at those. I'll definitely be exploring them further.

I just wanted to confirm if I was missing on some dedicated arpeggio presets for any of the synths. For eg. The DCO-X and the T-03 are just showing 2 each at my end.

This is the full OXa which is in Syntronik (not free).  It is a 49.99 value, not a cut-down version of the OXa synth.  You get the full OXa plus the other features of Syntronik like the arpeggiator, a comprehensive set of effects, and more.

    Hi Peter

I have the full version of Syntonik and noticed that there are about 5-12 patches at most under Arpeggio for each synth. Is this the normal count or have I missed out on something?

So Sampletank 4 seems pretty nice. One thing I'm struggling with is reading some of the text. I very much prefer the dark look but some of the lettering is very difficult to see. Anyone else?

    +1

Some features appear only if your hover the mouse over the designated space. I don't find the GUI very intuitive. ST3 was much easier to figure out.

  9. I got Magix Music Maker as  Humble Bundle deal some time back. I would not recommend it to anyone, not even a hobbyist.

The base package is quite barebone and it will prompt you to buy more sound packs to get things going. The interface too could do with an overhaul.

No idea about the Video Bundle though.

Edit: Current Movie Studio is at Version 17. The bundle here says version 15.

  10. Am unable to get past the Form. I've tried several times. Anyone else have this issue?

Edit: I've tried the link in Firefox and Microsoft Edge. Nothing happens when I click on download after filling up the form.

I've probably downloaded that much free stuff during the virus thing.  I think I might have to start passing on a lot of stuff.

Same here. I have just put all of them on hold. HDD space started getting exhausted.

Ok, I had high hope for this: NOT SCALABLE. Just because it can allow you to have more space/area for the EQ (just an example), that doesn't mean it's scalable!
Who designs these things? You would think since engineers make this stuff, meaning very smart people, they would really think these things through.

Same with the pos of Superior Drummer 3... get it in your head devs, we are in the 4k era (and beyond). Get your act together.

In other words: TEXT elements and knobs and faders don't scale up, so it's bullshit calling it that way.
166.32 bucks for Ozone 9 advance just so it doesn't have a real scalable gui?
300 bucks for Superior Drummer 3 just so it doesn't have a real scalable gui?

Grrr, I am upset (while writing this because after this I won't care lol ) 😝

Plus note: Take a look at Nembrini, that guy does have a brain!
    Audio Assault too (Viva Mexico!)
Hell, even Steven Slate made an effort with Steven Slate Drums 5.5
(not quite there, 150% scaling isn't enough, but at least it does scale the whole thing).🤩
Izotope and Toontrack are supposed to be way BIGGER of a company than the other 3 mentioned above... sigh...

Most VSTs and VSTi I use have this problem. It really is surprising that they don't introduce GUI friendly options like scaling or allowing us to dock and un-dock sections.

The Synthmaster series too allows scaling and that is really helpful when you are struggling with screen real estate on a laptop screen.

They don't always know if you bought something or got it free.  So they go by registration normally.  I actually got into the group buy the first time accidentally by registering something I picked up on sale but forgot about (I travel for work and don't always bother until I'm home and have time.)  Turns out it was registered in the timeframe of the group buy.  :)

Thanks. I had no idea about this. I believe the .99 deal is over now so I'll have to wait and watch for the next one.
