Ok, so you can saturate the hell out of it per band. I don't see the smoothing feature as anything to write home about. So other than the saturation... just an EQ.

Hey, a demo has been made available.... ABOUT TIME!

It's $6.00 ?
Might qualify as one of the world's cheapest EQ's.
If it's simply a 5 band EQ with HP and LP filters, how is this cheaper than ANY free EQ out there? How is this cheaper than any stock EQ plugin? With all the EQ's out there, what makes this one worth $6.00?
I think my point that I'm circling around is... Why is there not a demo? It's 2022, c'mon, put a demo version out. There's no examples or reviews of this plugin that I could find (still looking). So they're asking money for a product (even if it is just $6.00) and all that can be found (so far) is their description on their site:
QuoteThis 5 band equalizer's character is all in its smooth sound and unique slopes.
IQ505 has a variable response depending on the frequency,
clearing mud on the narrow Qs, perfect for more musical boosts and cuts.Use the smooth knob to soften harsher frequency boosts,
use the warm switch in each band to give even more character to your tracks....really
...really
Also, it's only $6.00 for a limited time. It will be retailing for $24.99.

OK, so what makes this plugin worth the $6.00? Buying a plugin simply because it is cheap IS a no brainer. Back to YouTube to see if I can find a review?

Looks great? 🥰
Number one reason for getting a plugin, looks. Who cares how it sounds? *sarcasm* 🤪

There isn't a demo available, granted it's only $6.00. Is there anything special about this EQ?

This one is the Easter Egg. YOU MUST MOVE QUICKLY. It was only going to be free for 48 hours:

$24.95 the new meta!!

Just learned that the hard way. I foolishly downloaded the installer and let'er rip. I go through the install and iLock is like "Hell no." Back to V6 for me.

I ended up replying back that I was just curious if it was ok to have two accounts and I got this reply:
QuoteSure you can.
I will say as of late we dont do merges of accounts anymore -just so you know.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Plugin-Alliance Support Team
So it looks like multiple accounts are allowed, but not recommended. I would say if you are thinking about having two accounts, double check for yourself that it's allowed.

I emailed PA about having multiple accounts and got this as the reply:
QuoteBest to maintain just one. What would be the reason for more than one?

I removed the support team members name from the quote

Having multiple accounts may not be a problem with PA. This is copied from their FAQ page:
QuoteWhy can't I use plugins from two different accounts at the same time?
Unfortunately, you can't use plugins from two different accounts on the same computer because you can only be logged into one account at a time. However, you can use plugins from two accounts at the same time by authorizing a USB drive for one of the two accounts. Then one of the accounts can be authorized on the computer like normal, and then you can put in the USB drive to use the other account.
If you don't know how to put your authorizations on a USB drive, here's how:
Make sure your USB drive is plugged into your computer. Then, open one of your plugins in your DAW and click the key icon on the bottom right side of the plugin window. An authorization window will pop up. Under the text "Select the device you would like to activate" there is a pulldown menu. Click it and select your USB drive. Make sure the "Activate all my licenses" checkbox is checked. Then click "I'm Online" and enter your login info. Now you will be able to use those plugin licenses on any computer that has the USB drive plugged into it.

Making new accounts may be a loophole, but it seems shady. I'd be afraid they'd catch on and ban the people taking advantage of the loophole.

Norton did NOT like these files. Most likely because they are new.

Not sure I like the reverb swap. It sounds really unnatural. If you're using it as a creative effect, sure. To place a sound in a space, I'm not so sure.

How does acquiring the freebie work? I have an account at ADSR. When I make a purchase, does it show up in the cart, or does it show up in my account? Not sure if I'm asking this right.
NEVERMIND.... I need to read the post completely... my bad

What is the competition? The link just says competition... food eating competition?

I run VUMT after it to gain match.... annoying, ah well. I understand the idea of doing hardware emulations, but automatic gain control would be nice. PA should add that feature into there added functionality section of their plugins. I'm referring to the section of their plugins that has TMT, headroom, monomaker, etc. Why not put it there?

I have a Ryzen 9 5900x... It's pretty sweet! Not sure what they're going for now, but I was able to get mine below MSRP from B&H Photo.

This looks super interesting.

@Noel Borthwick I've switched to the default scheduling model, no crashing.
@bitflipper I agree with you. I've only had my MOTU interface for maybe 5 months. Typically I use larger buffer sizes, but I've just left the default buffer sizes. Most of my mixing projects have been smaller, except for this latest project I'm working on, which is substantially larger. I have a decent machine, which can usually handle anything I throw at it. I guess there's always an exception. I've gone into my settings and bumped up the buffers, giving the CPU a chance to breathe.
Thanks guys!
-
Thanks, Noel! Another question, as a test, last night I increased my buffer size to see if that would help. Could this issue also be caused by using a buffer size that was too small for my system and my current project?

Ever since the latest update to version: 2022.02 (Build 039, 64 bit) I've been experiencing Audio Engine Dropouts. I get the error Audio Engine Dropout (19). Code (19) is not found in the online documentation. Any help would be appreciated.

Larry, same here I'm not getting a pop up. I already have it, I'm just greedy. Because I already have it is probably why it's not popping.

Reaper now has built-in oversampling
in Cakewalk by BandLab

I haven't run tests, but if it functions correctly, could be game changing:

I know Cakewalk by Bandlab has a similar feature, but it's quite buggy, which I have posted about and uploaded videos to YouTube as well. This appears to be very straight forward.
