  1. Ok, so you can saturate the hell out of it per band.  I don't see the smoothing feature as anything to write home about.  So other than the saturation... just an EQ.

Might qualify as one of the world's cheapest EQ's.

If it's simply a 5 band EQ with HP and LP filters, how is this cheaper than ANY free EQ out there?  How is this cheaper than any stock EQ plugin?  With all the EQ's out there, what makes this one worth $6.00?

I think my point that I'm circling around is... Why is there not a demo?  It's 2022, c'mon, put a demo version out.  There's no examples or reviews of this plugin that I could find (still looking).  So they're asking money for a product (even if it is just $6.00) and all that can be found (so far) is their description on their site:

This 5 band equalizer's character is all in its smooth sound and unique slopes.

IQ505 has a variable response depending on the frequency,
clearing mud on the narrow Qs, perfect for more musical boosts and cuts.

Use the smooth knob to soften harsher frequency boosts,
use the warm switch in each band to give even more character to your tracks.

    ...really

    ...really

Also, it's only $6.00 for a limited time.  It will be retailing for $24.99.

  3. I ended up replying back that I was just curious if it was ok to have two accounts and I got this reply:

    Sure you can.

I will say as of late we dont do merges of accounts anymore -just so you know.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

So it looks like multiple accounts are allowed, but not recommended.  I would say if you are thinking about having two accounts, double check for yourself that it's allowed.

  4. Having multiple accounts may not be a problem with PA.  This is copied from their FAQ page:

Why can't I use plugins from two different accounts at the same time?

Unfortunately, you can't use plugins from two different accounts on the same computer because you can only be logged into one account at a time. However, you can use plugins from two accounts at the same time by authorizing a USB drive for one of the two accounts. Then one of the accounts can be authorized on the computer like normal, and then you can put in the USB drive to use the other account.

If you don't know how to put your authorizations on a USB drive, here's how:

Make sure your USB drive is plugged into your computer. Then, open one of your plugins in your DAW and click the key icon on the bottom right side of the plugin window. An authorization window will pop up. Under the text "Select the device you would like to activate" there is a pulldown menu. Click it and select your USB drive. Make sure the "Activate all my licenses" checkbox is checked. Then click "I'm Online" and enter your login info. Now you will be able to use those plugin licenses on any computer that has the USB drive plugged into it.

  5. How does acquiring the freebie work?  I have an account at ADSR.  When I make a purchase, does it show up in the cart, or does it show up in my account?  Not sure if I'm asking this right.

NEVERMIND.... I need to read the post completely... my bad

  6. I run VUMT after it to gain match.... annoying, ah well.  I understand the idea of doing hardware emulations, but automatic gain control would be nice.  PA should add that feature into there added functionality section of their plugins.  I'm referring to the section of their plugins that has TMT, headroom, monomaker, etc.  Why not put it there?

  7. @Noel Borthwick I've switched to the default scheduling model, no crashing.

@bitflipper I agree with you. I've only had my MOTU interface for maybe 5 months.  Typically I use larger buffer sizes, but I've just left the default buffer sizes.  Most of my mixing projects have been smaller, except for this latest project I'm working on, which is substantially larger.  I have a decent machine, which can usually handle anything I throw at it.  I guess there's always an exception.  I've gone into my settings and bumped up the buffers, giving the CPU a chance to breathe.

    Thanks guys!
