Thanks ZincT. I have read that thread thoroughly many times over, and modified a couple of AHK scripts to Unify some of my Zebra libraries. The scripts I found were a year old and somewhat awkward to use. I was wondering if something more recent had been developed. The videos were for doing Omnisphere which I do not have, but perhaps the principles are the same for other plugins. Thanks for the info on the undocumented feature. Are you willing to share the AHK code segment that uses the feature? Or even your Pigment 3.5 script?

Your point is well taken. However, I will point out that cclarry's real name and association with cclarry is already out there via a soundbetter profile, his Bandlab profile, Soundcloud, and Bandmix.

The first time I Googled myself, I found messages I had written to Usenet back in 1983. So I am aware of what can be dug up on a person. I am not worried about what I have written over the years.It would be just as easy for people to make up stuff about me if they really wanted to give me a hard time. But being free with with my identity and respecting other people's privacy are two different things. I will be more careful with other people's identity in the future.

Yes, most definitely the former. When you load a sample into CR8, it turns the sample into kind of a virtual instrument, changing the pitch of the sample as you play up and down the keyboard. And yes, it can be played as chords. The sample is also stretched so that as you play higher notes, so that the sample length stays the same, just the pitch is altered. You need to tell CR8 the root of your sample for it to play right in the mix. Other samplers I have used just speed up the samples to obtain higher notes which is not great if you have rhythm based samples. You can also load up to 8 samples and either layer them or split your keyboard to play them so they only play in a certain range of the keyboard.

Yes, it looks like Cosmos has a ways to go. I started by adding my giant sample folder but it seemed to choke on it. So I have been adding subsets of my collection a folder at a time. I am up to 232932 samples now but it is still scanning. This thing is very slow. As Carl has said, you cannot rearrange the added folders and the grouping algorythms seem a bit wonky. You would think it would do a better job considering how slow it is. Plus, I really, really want a tree view. So my search for the perfect sample manager continues. Cosmos has potential and it may turn into a super tool. Just hope Waves can do it in a year so we don't have to WUP it to get the new features and bug fixes🤪.

Looks like you should be able to remove the Waves Audio Folder, move to a new location and add it back in again.

Pro tip. You can right click on a sample in Cosmos and select "Show in Explorer". On my Windows machine, this opens C:\Program Files (x86)\Waves\Data\Instrument Data\Waves Sample Libraries\Waves Audio Factory Pack

Not sure if I should throw this into the mix, but you can run your plugins on multiple machines if you move your licenses to a USB stick. You won't be able to run them simultaneously and you may be hooped if your USB stick goes belly up or you loose it, but it is an option.

I wonder what is meant by SE "hosts previously purchased synths" while the full version "upgrades previously purchased synths". What do these upgrades entail?

From what I understand, there are currently two Zero Gs. There is Zero G LTD which is a company, and the Zero G brand name under which Stefano releases his sample library. Stefano uses the Zero G brand name but releases his libraries through Xfonic. LTD.

Yes, Cosmos is only standalone. I guess CR8 could be considered the plugin portion of Cosmos.

It depends on what you mean by usable. I can drag and drop samples from Cosmos onto a track in my DAW without needing to use CR8. I can also drag a sample from Cosmos onto SampleOne, the Studio One sampler. If you are wanting to do more than that, for example to manipulate the samples, define loop points, change the speed, and a whole host of other things, then CR8 will allow you to do that. It is up to you to decide if CR8 is better than the sampler that comes with your DAW.

I tried to use ADSR, but every time I add sample folder to a folder, the parent folder gets grayed out in ADSR and I have to remove the parent folder and add it back in again for ADSR to be able to access it again. I am guessing you have not seen this bug.

It does scan subfolders but it does not have a subfolder view. This is actually is one of the features that I am disappointed to not see. I am also seeing that it is very slow to scan. I initially added my whole sample folder but it looked like it would take days if not weeks to tag the whole thing. Right now, I am just adding subsets of my collection to test it out.

As Larry has just stated, they are two separate entities. There is a long discussion on VI-Control with people arguing this fact with Stefano. Kind of funny actually.

I think Simon's post was more a comment on your use of all caps in your original post.

Stefano Maccarelli has stated on the Sample Libraries' facebook page that T+S and Zero-G are not the same entity. So it looks like Zero-G's fortunes are not entwined in T+S's.

Can you reference the Facebook page? Who is Russ Hughes?
