Picture cache files don't need to me moved or saved as they are redrawn as needed.  They're basically for visual reference and have little impact on performance.

However, clearing the cache regularly is good because, like a backed up gut, things start not happening when the folder gets too full to write to.

Happened to me a couple of times lately, only the audio files actually are MIA for no discernable reason.  Had to "borrow" them from an earlier project. Some other odd behaviors have forced me to uninstall and reinstall CbB a couple of times to get it all working again.

FWIW, Even tho Windows 11 can be installed on a noncompliant system, there are things to consider:

Same as clicking a "normal" tag.  Your post only comes up since it's the only one with my user name in it.

Maybe the word changes when the forum software takes too long to search for said word.

@57Gregy  I found your post down under and a couple times the "sjoens" blue tag in your title changed to "considering" after clicking on it.  

Explain that one.  🤔

I found this out when comparing an older mix done thru a Behringer interface and a new mix done thru a Mackie Onyx.  The Behringer sounded better to me and there was no way to make the Onyx sound the same.  At least in the same price group it's all subjective I guess.

Thanks Greg!  Don't think I really noticed that before or knew what it was for.  Figured it was a gimmick only a few knew about.

Thanks.  That's pretty clear, but it doesn't put the blue tags "in" the title like the screenshot shows.

Interesting it's the default setting, though you can make a project template using any of the others as default.

Makes sense, also because it's UI image is in the TTSImage file and accessible by Theme Editor... but apparently no one really knows. 

1) Mute the track to verify its this track

2) Click on the track number to highlight the entire track and hit Delete to remove everything

3) If it's a MIDI track, open Event List and check for notes & controllers

The track should still be there but the clips will be gone if you only have one take lane because it is also your main track. 

Not here but only since I reinstalled Windows 10.  Not sure why it would be a font issue, aren't they part of forum software?   I see the ones missing look smaller than the rest.

Does using the Replace Audio FX... process to reinsert GR6 work for this?

One of my many problems is not providing enough details in the OP.

That could explain why it's not working for me either, as I have all versions of Sonar from 8.0 onward installed.

However, I ran the 8.3.1 update very last thing which replaced the latest Plug-in Manager with the 8.3.1 version.  Seeming identical except for an older file date and the Windows 98 style frames and icons. 

The only way to tell if newer installs are messing with Sonar 8 is to remove everything and reinstall 8.

My whole life has been a tragic accident... so I can neither confirm nor deny that statement!

A more relevant question might be why are some smileys missing from the list?

I asked because if this happens before the PC ever goes to sleep it's because the user disconnected it, not Windows.

My PCs are now set to never sleep so Windows doesn't mess with things like that.  I also set the lid to Nothing happens when closed.  Because USB power saving also affects things like my printer I am disabling it as well, but until today it was enabled.

FWIW I also disabled the disconnect warning in Preferences > Display so I'm not bothered by it.

Click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner of your post.

I see no way to run it as admin inside CbB/Sonar, and all 3 buttons are grayed out when run standalone, admin or not.  They are labeled VST Configutation, tho so maybe not so odd.  

Odd that you can't rename DXs with the Plug-in Properties button, only VSTs.

Makes sense.  But 99.9% of users don't have that ability.  It looks like we have 2 options:

1) Keep the main view un-maximized to retain their visibility.

OR

2) Click the top left hand icon and Enable floating so they float above the main view or on another screen... then save the project/template.
When a project is saved, the current layout is remembered by the current screenset.

Sadly they can't be docked in Multidock, which would be a major request if I used them.  And I would if I could edit/create my own.

In spite the manual's comment, they don't seem to be available with Sonar Platinum or CbB installers.

Keep in mind this is exactly what Theme Editor is.  It's actually based on Ben Staton's SonarPlus Skin Editor which he made for Sonar X1 back in 2011.

There are many editors out there and some are free but I use Restorator which automatically makes a backup of any file it edits.

Resource files that mainly affect the visual part of a program have little to no affect on the main program unless you get carried away.  As long as the files are outside the main exe file you're safe from doing it any harm.  Even if the program fails to run or throws a warning, you can easily return it to normal by keeping the original files in a safe place so they can be reused.

Main problem with this is when program updates overwrite the files you edited making you reapply the edits.
