I was drinking yesterday and a bit upset please forgive me if anyone is offended.
Im a bit upset I was told be email that the issue I was having with Maschine was resolved. But I have installed the beta and the issue still remains. I have been notified through email on multiple occasions to close my ticket yet no resolution. I love Cakewalk don't get me wrong but it does get frustrating when someone tells you it has been resolved but hasn't. I know everyone is busy , I sent this ticket in at the beginning of January and was told multiple times would be fixed in the next release. Maybe it will be and it is just not in the beta, I guess I will see soon.

I tried to reproduce your issue but if I import a video I am having other issues. Hopefully they will look at your issue, . Make sure your report it through the technical support.

I have reported it to Cakewalk support, the issue is the first beat is not heard until the loop comes around again because the now time jumps forward. So yes it is very bothersome I would say. I have to quantize the first beat, Anyways I know they will look at it and fix it because they are an awesome team!!

Does anyone else use Maschine as a plugin that can verify this issue?
Thanks Mark

Hello
I know there was a bug recently fixed when there is a count in measure in cakewalk. Melodyne would not start the count in correctly as it was off a whole measure That issue was fixed in a recent new release. I have come across the following issue and just want to see if this has to do with the fix.
When I am using Maschine software with a count in measure in cakewalk the now time marker is jumping forward a very slight amount. I have attached a video to demonstrate what is happening. Has anyone else had this happen?
Notice the Now Time marker jump ahead when I hit the record button. Thanks

I had this issue and resolved it by turning off all background apps, give it try it cant hurt! Just type background apps in the search left bottom and make sure they are all turned off. This worked for me.

Ok here is my issue,
When I am using Kontakt with lets say just 2 instruments for example , First instrument Midi channel 1, second instrument midi channel 2 . I have associated audio channels and have routed 2 separate outputs from Kontakt to the audio channels in Cakewalk. For some reason when I get to the end of the loop and the loop starts for the first time it is sounding out all 2 Instruments even though they are on separate channels midi input and output and I have not recorded anything on the second Instrument. If I stop the loop and just play back what I have recorded everything is fine and it only sounds out the instrument I have just recorded. As long as I am not looping everything works perfectly not sure if this has something to do with the new update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you for all your intelligent replies. I can't reply in details right now, so this is just brief post to support your helpful thoughts.
Midi channel mismatch- no. Keyboard transmits in single mode to 1. I select Midi inputs either Omni, or Yamaha Omni or Yamaha 1- tried all that there logically available. I did not look at MIDI channel on the track, but why would it be different than 1? I did not type in Ch2 or anything.
Yes, the USB ports all got changed. BUT Yamaha had metal solid driver. I am pretty sure it was moved before. If not Yamaha port, then definitely other USB devices. I will make attempt to connect it where I remember it used to be, but doubt this will solve it.
I did not try this all the way, but I think I did try to uncheck all Yamaha ports (4), and then check them back- minus saving the project closing and reopening.
I will look at Device manager tonight. Again- this never happened before.
Gswitz- what do you mean- MIDI is used by controller? What controller? I always had multiple controllers connected.
Cakewalk (Sonar) has ability to detect when something got connected. Many times in the past I would forget to turn keyboard on and when I turn it on AFTER Sonar is opened and project is loaded, it would just say that "Device was connected- would you like to add it?" So right now Cakewalk can FEEL that something is connected- dont remember if it calls it by name or not, but it definitely detects when it connected and when it disconnected. It just does not recognize any data.
Markrounds, are you on Windows 10? If so, do you have latest updates installed? Do you have latest Cakewalk update installed? Please, confirm- my worse fear is that Windows update destroyed driver as it did with Roland and Roland never fixed it, so I already lost V-Synth and Fantom. Yamaha was good and survived every update. So, please, confirm your OS and that it is working with new updates. Thank you.
DavidBaay, I had this issue in the past of blue light Input Echo was not on and I had no activity. I I double checked to make sure the blue light is ON. The track looks dead. No meter activity- no signs of life of any kind. The problem is not AUDIO. Motif has Local ON and Local Off. In Local ON, I can play keyboard and hear audio through USB Audio interface. I can record AUDIO, but I dont have MIDI activity. IF there was activity, it would work with Local OFF, which would go through software and trigger notes via MIDI as opposite to go to sound module when Local On. So- AUDIO is working, no MIDI.
Thank you very much.
I am on the latest Cakewalk and the Latest Windows 10 with all updates.

I am using a Yamaha Motif XS8 and it is amazing for a control surface and midi input device . Always make sure the Yamaha is turned on fully before starting Cakewalk. Also sometimes for what ever reason cakewalk loses my preferences for surface control. Go into your preferences and make sure XS8 1 is checked and XS82 is checked. XS8 1 is used for the keyboard midi input and the XS8 2 is used for the surface controls. Also I use the Yamaha in Master mode and Remote mode on for surface control. I know its allot to take this stuff but you will figure it out and The Yamaha is excellent for surface control it has all the mutes , solos, all transport controls I really love it. I hope you figure this all out!! Try not to panic .

I still have the issue with the one instrument Hybrid Keys but I just leave the mod wheel up. However you can run Kontakt 6 and Kontakt 5 together. I have both installed and you can run them as separate plugins at the same time. I do have the full version of Kontakt.

I purchased picked acoustic the other day and really love it. I used a coupon towards it, I not think you will be disappointed with it. I use it with Kontakt version 6 with no issues. I am glad I was able to help you with the above issue!

I have had an issue with Hybrid keys in the past I believe it was a modulation controller being reset to zero when Cakewalk stops. What I do when using Hybrid Keys is leave my Mod wheel all the way up . Do not quote me on this I am trying to remember with out looking at my setup. However if you open Hybrid Keys and move your mod wheel you should see the controller within Hybrid Keys Moving with it. The only other way I could fix this was to set Cakewalks Zero controllers when Cakewalk stops, this caused me an issue with my sustain pedal so I just use my Mod Wheel to compensate. I am not positive this is your issue but its worth a try.

I have this all sorted out, the issue I was having was while using a remote access program Team viewer. For some reason when I open a Project on the remote computer the 2nd monitor pops back to my Main display. This is only happening when using Teamviewer remotely and not on the customers computer. I haven't quite figured it out yet but it doesn't appear to be a Cakewalk related issue. I'm sorry if I caused any confusion with this. Also thanks Noel for explaining the workspace a bit more.

OK I will try this! Thanks
-
Yes I just tried this but the console window still pops back over to my main display.
-
I am still having an issue with this, I have used a screenset with dual monitors and locked it, However the 2nd window pops back to the main screen when opening project. Also if I switch to a different screenset and then back to the one I created it starts to show up on the 2nd monitor and then pops back to the main. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I also had to run through the getting started procedure. I am having an issue with my monitors, I use two monitors and my projects keep docking console view back to my main monitor. It doesn't do it every time I open a project but most of the time. Anyways thanks and I LOVE Cakewalk!!
